Sounds like one of the better projects for the stimulus money. At least this one is traceable unlike the original bank stimulus.

Ok so you've seen Vegas Vacation.

Yes f**k the fish. F**k all the wildlife. We don't need the stinky animals anyway. We'll be fine all by ourselves here.

The Riverkeeper approves and has been part of the project discussions and planning since 2006. The increase in electricity production and efficiency, coupled with efforts to improve our important Atlantic fisheries, is what we want to see.

People seldom recognize this, but the abundance of migratory fish in the Susquehanna, the east coast's biggest river, has an effect on our commercial fisheries in the Atlantic. So we have to balance cheaper electricity with a sustainable fishing industry.

I really thought that blowing up rivers ended in the 1930s. No one here (including the so called "river keeper") understands the total project. All people worry about is a few dollars that they are led to believe they will save. Holtwood can in no way generate enough electricity for 100,000 homes as the additional turbines will run only when the dam spills which is less then 3 months a year. This project will be dependent on Renewable Energy Credits as well as the government package for funding. Large scale hydro has already destroyed most of the ecosystems of this great river and the dams are silted in, leaving a future time bomb for the Bay. PP&L needs to build a real future by constructing solar and wind generation plants. It does work, my home and business generates its own electricity from the sun, lets all make a real difference instead of crying for the government and electric companies to "save us"! Holtwood is a true money hole!

It's the address of your ISP, not your personal address.

Yeah. I don't like it either. I live in Conestoga, PA and It says I'm in Philly.

But to the point. Back awhile ago the Dam was closed to fishing for years while they were doing supposedly the same thing. I just don't like not being able to myself or take the grandkids fishing there!
