Im the Local Union President and I cant agree with you more! We start bargaining next week and (if you are not a Union member) please feel free to contact me as I have the feeling that it will be very possible that the CEP Union will start an organising drive in the near future.

Not good at all, i pack glass for 8.00 an hour and sweat like a rented mule. no benifits no chance to ever get a full time position its all temp service. lay offs at the end of the "busy season" i wouldnt wish this kind of labor and embarassing pay checks upon anyone.

Things are tough all over. We were advised that no merit or performance grants will be paid in 2009. Our bonus program is suspended. Further reductions in force will be coming. We are lucky to have a job. We are lucky to work for a company that is financially secure enough to keep sending us a paycheck.

Let's see how much Chuck's bonus is this year. PPG is laying off workers, suspending bonuses, cutting back hourly workers hours, all the while sitting on 1 billion dollars. I'm sure all their golfing board members will be paid their typical huge bonuses, while the rest of us wonder if we'll be able to make it to the next day. Thanks PPG! Greedy bastards!

This is crazy. If you would have made better decisions in life you would not have to work packing glass for $8.00 per hour. Stop whining and try and better yourself.

To Hell with Porter/PPG! They are running out all the experienced folks and bringing in part-timers. My favorite manager was fired for some audit B.S. and replaced with a guy that can't match color any better than Home Depot. I'm sure Sherwin-Williams appreciates your actions!

Some of us are now NOT receiving a paychecks. No one seems to be secure. How are they determining who gets laid off and who stays? 17 years in and still doesn't matter.

Well in Atlanta with Porter Paints
If you been there awhile you are a target and will
get fired. Even if sales and profit are at plan.
The new TEAM Marc & Kevin are clear cutting all employees thirty so far in seven months...
