What's NOT amazing is how much Righties lie about things like, say, Obama blaming bush for his problems.
You ALL do it.:)
Of course, Democrats NEVER lie.

A new ad from the Obama campaign takes aim at Mitt Romney’s performance as governor of Massachusetts, claiming he had “one of the worst economic records in the country.” But the ad overreaches with several of its claims.

The ad states that job creation in Massachusetts “fell” to 47th under Romney. That’s a bit misleading. Massachusetts’ state ranking for job growth went from 50th the year before he took office, to 28th in his final year. It was 47th for the whole of his four-year tenure, but it was improving, not declining, when he left.

The ad’s claim that Romney “cut taxes for millionaires” isn’t as black-and-white as billed. Romney opposed a plan to impose a capital gains tax retroactively, insisting on delaying the hike eight months. That’s different than pushing for a tax cut.

The ad claims that Romney raised taxes on the middle class. It’s true that Romney imposed a number of fees, but none of them targeted middle-income persons. Also, Romney proposed cutting the state income tax three times — a measure that would have resulted in tax cuts for all taxpayers — but he was rebuffed every time by the state’s Democratic Legislature.

The ad claims Romney “left the state $2.6 billion deeper in debt.” It’s true that long-term bond debt — used for capital improvements — rose under Romney, as it had in the years before he took office. But Romney wasn’t piling up yearly deficits to support operating expenses the way the federal government is, because Massachusetts requires balanced budgets.

The ad claims that when Romney was governor,“Massachusetts lost 40,000 manufacturing jobs, a rate twice the national average.” That’s close to true, but the state lost a greater number of manufacturing jobs in the four years before Romney took office, and more in the four years after he left. In fact, the rate of job loss in manufacturing slowed during Romney’s time as governor.

The ad claims Romney “outsourced call center jobs to India.” Not exactly. What he did was veto a measure that would have prevented the state from doing business with a state contractor that was locating state customer-service calls in India. Democrats who controlled the Legislature could have overridden the veto, but didn’t. The veto was supported by leading newspapers as a savings to taxpayers.

After two years of a democratic controlled congress. Amazing how Obama blames the congress for his failures and Bush for the problems between 2006 and 2008.
Did you actually expect things to get back to 1950s levels in a few years?? It didn't take four years to get things to this ridiculous level. No one, not even Romney, will do it in one term. I don't blame Bush for anything except making a bad situation worse.

WELL, I fought my first war in the 90's! I want more US energy so MY CHILDREN won't have to pick up were I left off!
Reducing foreign depency doesn't require the US to change there standard of living! It requires the US to grow a backbone and do the hard right!

Another way to look at is that we could drill and use all of our fossil fuels, erect derricks all over national park lands, frac all the bedrock and poison the water tables and kill the oceans. Now THAT would be a nice legacy for the kids, huh? How would you go about reducing the country's dependency on foreign oil? Keep in mind that you don't want to wreck the economy or displace any workers. What do you do?

We still drill, how many accidents have we had? Just because one platform blows up, do we stop the how program? What if we did that for every ship that sank, plane that crashed or train that de-railed!?? It can be done in a way were there is little to no impact on the enviroment. Alaska pipeline is a perfect example. It is all about give and take. Liberal enviromentalist LOVE to take but don't give an inch!

Oil is but one product produced in this country, zippy.

The Gulf oil spill threatened the livelihoods of millions of Americans. Fisherman, Hotel owners, Casino owners, restaurant owners, lifeguards, the boating industry in the Gulf, not to mention thousands of beachfront homes. Oil/petroleum is very destructive and even now, if you dig down into the sand, you will find layer upon layer of it.

We didn't learn anything from the Exxon Valdez, or the huge spill Mexico endured and now the Gulf spill has brought out cockroaches like you who say oil is good. Oil is safe. Oil is our future.

China, Saudi Arabia and Europe are all moving ahead with updating their infrastructure and that means they are building AND USING massive solar, wind and nuclear plants for power. Those are what's called "clean energy" and won't continue to eat away at the ozone or give us cancer, or asthma or any host of other illnesses because our air is getting dirtier and dirtier. Oh, and we won't have to keep answering to the middle east sand fleas who have one goal in life: To destroy us.

Go back to your cave and let the educated folks try to save this country...and the world. Clearly you could care less.

PS: So far, two drunks, that I know of, have shot holes in the Alaskan pipline and rendered it useless for months until it was repaired. Oh and a woman there just poured gas on her boyfriend and set him on fire. Could have been the pipeline. After experiencing Sarah Palin, it's pretty obvious that Alaska is the state of very, very disturbed people.

Pipelines are the past. Natural gas, solar, wind...those are our future. Get on the evolution bus or we'll be happy to run you over with it.

I am a "ALL THE ABOVE" kinda guy! Fossil, nuke, wind, water , solar( if it is cost effective) alternate fuels whatever! We have to buy ourselves at least 20 yrs of domestic energy MEANWHILE looking for the next "NEW IDEA"!! So when we flip the switch to this energy we don't have power problems and people can afford it! We need to push away from those crazy MF er's in the ME! I don't know about you but I am tired of fighting Middle Eastern Wars!

That billion includes adelson's foreign macua slot machine money....

"McCain says foreign money influencing US elections, sneaking in through super PACs"

Sen. John McCain said in an interview posted online Friday that “foreign money” was helping fellow Republican Mitt Romney’s presidential hopes and singled out one of his ally’s most generous supporters.

He hasn't done anything to lower. He's been on record, along with "Chu"are whatever his name is, saying he'd like gas prices to be as high as Europe, so we would'nt be oil dependent.

You first. You made the claim now back it up.
The claim is that if the cons can vilify him when they go up, he gets the credit when they fall. Follow?
Now, if you want the government to seize the oil industry through an executive order, which they can do, so you can have 50cents/gallon gas, just say so.

Looks like you are making a baseless claim. Nothing the great zero has done have caused fuel prices to fall. Unless you include the high unemployment rates mean people have less money for fuel.

Higher taxes on gas and oil producers.
More regulation by the EPA and other govt agencies like Interior.
Moratoriums on drilling.
