Casino Queen a big joke

Belleville, IL

The new Casino Queen is a big joke. There isn't enough games for everyone to play. There is too many people in one room. People running into other people way to crowded. You have to stand in the cashier line for about a hour to cash out. There is only four roulette tables. The bar area was so sticky from spill drinks. The soda machine was broken. The machine to put your tickets in to get your money was out of order, there was only one that was working and there was a long line to use it. The sign stated that the Queen has the looses slot around is a big joke.
The old Queen was a lot better. We enjoy going to the boat, but now we will have to fine another place to go to enjoy ourselves. Bring back the boat!!

Well, disgruntled casino goers--instead, try your hands at playing the ponies at Fairmount Park!

You don't have to spend (or lose) as much money, and skill can really help your odds of winning, unlike the slots, where odds are, you'll lose.

If the Illinois gaming commission doesn't do something to help live horse racing instead of giving all aid to the casinos, we won't have horse racing as an entertainment option in the St. Louis area for much longer. Go enjoy it while you still can.

No way!! I feel sorry for the horses who run around the track,It's so hot for them to be running so fast.

The horses are conditioned as athletes, and lots of efforts are made to cool them off before and after their exertion. Their ancestors came from the deserts. I feel more sorry for all the soccer and baseball playing kids out there in this heat. A better option for the horses would be a split racing meet in the spring and fall, but gaming and race days are controlled by Springfield, not by horsemen. Live horse racing is a vital trickle down industry that supports a lot more peoples livelihoods than the casinos do. Horsemen spend a lot of money time and effort finding and building a fast horse. Skillful handicapping is much more fun than the casinos!
