East Bay Biz Buzz: Save Mart acquires Albertsons' NorCal stores

Save Mart Supermarkets of Modesto announced Monday that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Albertsons LLC Northern California Division.

I think Save Mart will do a excellent job running their new stores, providing Bob opens his mind to the fact that there are plenty of very qualified women that could also be a asset in 'high' positions within his company. He has done great things for Modesto and I'm sure he will continue to do great things in other cites he now will be doing business in.

I am happy to see that Save Mart has purchased the Albertson's Stores. I shop at Albertsons all the time and I was afraid that they would close up. I am so delighted that all the Albertsons employees will continue to have their jobs! I shop at Albertsons because of how wonderful the employees are and I also love the demo people who let us try new items. The demo people are great! I have seen demo people at the Safeways and also Walmart and they are not half as professional and curtious as the Albertsons Demo people! This is why I now only shop at Albertsons! I feel like I am at home....
