Using backbeat 906 as mic & earphones on my laptop

I could really do with some help; I brought the Backbeat 906 because it came with a Bluetooth enabler, so I could use it for both my Iphone and with Dragon (the software that you dictate to and it types). The problem is that my laptop doesn't see the headset as a source (the Bluetooth enabler goes in the audio input, it makes no sense that it should then double up as a mic and earphones.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you deal with it. I have assignments due in and really need to be able to use Dragon, to write them.
