M25 Warranty claim -headset unable to charge

I was informed that I could not make a warranty claim as I did not have a receipt as proof of purchase.
I informed Plantronics that that was not possible as it was a Christmas gift from the office pool.
Plantronics then informed me that they would not honour the warranty eventhough I had registered it on-line.This is despite the fact that the M25 has numerous reports and complaints lodged on-line on this issue.
If enough of us complain maybe there's a lawyer who would like to take this up as a class-action suit ?
