I've been shopping at Pier 1 for years and I love the products!! Still!! Even when it was super modern, I still found lots of cool really different items that seemed to be one of a kind to me! I continue to shop at Pier 1 and my "normal" store changed recently, I used to shop at the one near the Galleria and I loved the staff there! But I noticed it wasn't as friendly as it had been a couple of years ago and the people I was used to seeing were all gone! So I kinda had stopped going. Then I stopped in at the one in McKinney with a friend and the "vibe" was just better somehow. And the people were joking and having fun! Then I went to the one in Plano near the mall and the same thing happened! SMILING people who didn't seem too distracted to help me find what I was looking for! I have made an effort to go visit these two stores whenever I am near tehm even though they are a little out of my way! It's like the "old" Pier 1 I used to love!

its because they got rid of the store manager at the galleria store who had been there since opening. Out with the old I guess.
