Philips Bids $5.1B for Respironics

Last year RPE also bought STENTOR, an imaging technology start-up, from UPMC-Pittsburgh at around US$17/share. A weak US$ helps to fuel these acquisitions. Way back when US$ was strong we were buying up European companies; it's just part of the economic money cycles.
