My grandmother watched As the World Turns faithfully right up to her death in 1993. We could never call her home during those hours as she would not answer. It is sad to see this long running soap disappear!

I will miss the show and the characters. I have watched it most of my life. It will be like a death in the family.

Even though it's marking the end of an era (so to speak) I think it's about time. I'm really surprised it hasn't been axed before now.

I am so sad to see the show come to an end. I have watched this show with my mother & grandmother every since I can remember. These characters are almost like family to us. I sure hope you can do something to change this so the show will not go off the air.

I am a working wife and mother but have watched soap operas since I was a kid. I may not be home during the day to watch, but I TVO them everyday. There is nothing else of interest to watch during the day when I'm at home. There will be nothing left on network television except repetitive & incestuous "who'd the daddy " talk shows and ignorant people on court tv shows.

It is a sad day indeed that As the World Turns has been cancelled. It's scary to think how long I've been watching both Guiding Light and As the World Turns. They survived my college days (catching episodes when I could), five years working and then I returned to active watching when I had my children. Back in the work force again,I caught up with them thanks to my VCR. They were a special part of my day. No, I'm not a soap opera addict, I watch only those two, but like any good TV program, they transport you into another world giving you an opportunity to sit and unwind or keep you company as you putter around the house. To the powers that be, we don't need any more quiz programs and certainly no more courtroom drama. G.L. and ATWT must have done something right broadcasting for fifty to seventy years. Someone is taking away the pleasure and relaxation these programs provided and I hope there are others out there who are not ashamed to admit to loving a good soap.

What is going on with Soap. You certainly are not listening to the public. In hard times like this Soaps should not be cancelled. Especially not As the World Turns. Why. I have been watching this for over 30 years. I love it and so do all my friends and neighbors.

This is not fair. How will we know how it all turns out. With Lilly, Carly, etc. Please do not cancel.

I don't get a chance to watch ATWT every day, but I DVR it and catch up. I have literally grown up with the Hughes and the Stewarts--my grandmother watched religiously. It's a shame that the almighty dollar beats an American institution. I hope they are able to find another home for ATWT since CBS is giving them their walking papers.
