Industry body wants P&G to change dancing bear ads

Full story: The Minneapolis-St. Paul Pioneer Press

Charmin's bare-bottom bears can keep dancing around celebrating their joy over extra-strength toilet paper, but the advertising industry's self-regulatory body says Procter & Gamble Co.

I want to know why the little bear is wiping above his tail...What did he eat to need to wipe all over the place like that? Plus I thought stuff didn't stick to a bear's fur.

Just think. Those A-holes actually got paid for that nonsense, and probably went home all proud of themselves for slapping down that evil toilet paper company.

Honest question:

Have any of you ever been convinced to buy a particular brand of toilet paper because a dancing cartoon bear made you think you'd have fewer dingleberries? If you answered 'yes' to that, you have the worst life of anyone on the planet. Congratulations.

Seriously. Whatever.

Is that because poop doesn't stick to their fur?

I allways thought it was in bad taste. Showing a bear in the woods with a roll of bumwipe hanging on a tree branch I suppose was playing on the old saying: "Does a bear shyte in the woods?"
It was a comic affirmative answer like "Does a one legged duck swim in a circle?" or "Does the Pope wear a beanie?" or "Does Elmer Fudd have trouble pronouncing the letter R?"
