I've been saying this since they passed that law. Repubs control FL. Repubs back business, no way are they going to do anything to make it tough on business especially big business. Even the Attorney General is supposedly pushing her own
( bunch of BS rules) agenda. Her agenda only consists of making the cost of pain management higher to the actual patients, It does nothing to stop doctor shoppers. They will lip service the issue to death. Make themselves look good on TV, then pass laws that are unconstitutional just to line the pockets of lawyers, with the extra costs passed to legit CPP's.

The fact is they had the only real PDMP that would work offered to them for FREE! They turned it down flat while Christ was running things. I am sure a guy who should be a convicted felon, for medicare fraud is going to screw pfizer and perdue..lol..P

What narcotic or other controlled drug does Pfizer manufacture? I can't think of one. The problem in FL now is oxycodone, and alprazolam. To a lesser extent, hydrocodone and diazepam. All generics. So I don't see the connection.

The prescription drug database is a powerful tool to stop dr shopping. I catch patients every day getting 180+ oxycodone 30mg tabs each from two or more doctors each month. Our oxycodone problem in Florida would be cut in half overnight once it's in place.

It does not matter when local and State law enforcement will not even investigate or prosecute dealers and pill mills . We can take you to a doctor that will max out your prescription when you slip him a news paper with $400 in it.and show you dealers and not one agency in Florida will lift a finger or even look into it. The only reason i can think of when the law will do nothing about it is they are somehow getting kickbacks for sitting on their hands.
