Northeast hammered by storm

Full story: The York Daily Record

A relentless winter storm blasted the Northeast with hurricane-force winds, deep snow and flooding Friday, cutting power to at least 650,000 homes and businesses, fanning a hotel fire in northern New England, and disrupting air and road travel.

A SNOW STORM, if February !!!!
I heard that the LIRR added 8 additional trains. Good move, considering that they canceled 16 trains. Way to go...

Al has no luck on these things. When he and Bubba called a press conference on the White House lawn to announce global warming, Long Island had the snowiest winter on record - winter of '95-'96.

In 1980, Algore predicted a sea level rise of 20' by 2000.

In 2000 he attended a campaign fundraiser in a home on the shore in the Hamptons. The home was under 20' of water while Al collected the loot.

The media panic set in early with this one. I'm in western Nassau County, by 2:00pm the sun was shining. We got maybe 5 inches.

The whole concept of global warming has to do with the melting of the polar ice caps which in turn puts more moisture into the air and when the storms form in cold air it has more moisture to work with thus creating more heavy accumulations of snow.Global warming does not indicate that the earth is in fact much warmer year round it only indicates that at times throughout the year the mean temperature is greater than normal thus creating the process listed above.

Forget it. These people are beyond knuckleheads. After all the cars that were crushed, they are right back to trying to run people over today. Nothing gets through to them. With all the extreme high winds on Saturday, they went out to get their nails done. Then when something happens, they look for someone to blame it on.
