RAMPS: http://rampscampaign.org/ an organization dedicated to bringing awareness about Mountain Top Removal and the affects on local residents. They are concerned with health of local population via air/water/ground contamination as well as the risk of flood due to deforestation. Check out Moutnain Justice for more information: http://mountainjustice.org/facts/s... . RAMPS is escalating tactics in order to draw attention to the harmful practices of Mountain Top Removal. Those gathered for the protest entered the privately owned site of the Hobet mine in Boone County, WV and 20 of the 50 or so gathered were arrested. Total bail for the detainees, who are being charged primarily with trespassing, is $500,000: http://bit.ly/mj-legal

Once again the Courts and State Police become tools of the Coal Barons. And,it's a shame people from out of State have to come in and try to save the mountains, while the local people sit on their hands. What 's really changed here in the last 100 years-nothing, Big Coal still runs the State Government.

It looks to me like the police are only enforcing the laws they are paid to enforce. When a government passes laws and refuses to enforce them there are no laws and lawlessness and chaos will prevail.

As you said, nothing has changed in the past 100 years - we have clean water and clean air. Thanks to MTR, we now have new highways, malls, golf courses, hill climbs and new schools. We need more MTR!

Clean water, clean air? Where do you live, it's sure not the case in the Coal fields. And, the poisons are draining into the water supply from former MTR sites. It seems you are oblivious to all the studies that have been done. Your name wouldn't be Blankenship would it?

Clean air? You smelly a$$ hippies polute the air with your B.O. and patchouli more than any 1000 years of mountain destruction ever could. You all small like $hit.

Clean water? See above. I doubt you all see much water since you smell like you never bathe, except in patchouli. Nasty a$$ scum of society. Get a job, get a life, and stay the h*ll away from everyone until you learn some hygiene. You would polute the water like a million turds in a bottle of Avian. I would rather drink coal slurry than to be on the oposite side of a lake you are in.

Your protests mean nothing, accomplish nothing, and are nothing. You will never change society. You are just looking for an excuse to be jobless, smelly and lazy. I am sure most of you live off of the government dime or mommy and daddy. Welcome to the real world, b*tches!

Love,

Yes, we can all see why everyone thinks all protestors are ignorant. They are worthless slackers with poor hygiene who think they are changing the world, but only come across as looking like total dumba$$es. In the end, you are worthless wastes of space who need to grow up and join the real world. Just know that everyone laughs at you. Maybe they will hose you down in prison prior to your anal rape (which I am sure you will probably enjoy).

Smelly a$$ slackers like yourself will not change the world. The sooner you idiots realize that, the sooner you can become functioning adults.

Peace and Love, Douches.......

You're a typical head in your butt Friend of Coal. You have no respect for your State or your self, you follow Big Coal's doctrine. You'd blast the whole State away for one more MTR paycheck. You seem to be obsessed with homosexuality, it makes me wonder what kind of deviate you are.

These tree huggers picked an odd time to
start "protesting" here in southern WV.

Half of our mines are closed down and the
other half are only operating at half staff.

The EPA, MSHA and the lack of permits to
mine...combined w/ AU flooding the market
w/cheap coal is killing all of the families
that depend on mining to live.

So why do are these guys trying to kill off
the few mining jobs that are left?

If I was obsessed with homosexuality, I would be obsessed with you and the protesters. I would wager that you and most of them are now boycotting Chick-fil-A, if you catch my drift.

And you are the typical fist up the butt liberal know-it-all do-gooder. Like I said, maybe someday you will become a functioning adult and have some benefit to society. Until then, please stand down wind because you smell like sh*t and you are polluting my environment.

I am Mother Nature. I put coal here to be used, not to be ignored by some jobless smelly hippies who couldnt function unless somebody was paying their way.

Go strap yourself odorant self to a log and sing Kumbaya with the other losers.

Peace and Love, B*tch

Yes, I put coal here. Did I stutter, dumb@ss? Quit smoking the weed and maybe you can comprehend what you are attempting to read. Man, you must have some man love for Blankenship since he is all you can talk about. Talk about obsession.

No one can eat too many drumsticks....yummy. Man, you are stupid.

Peace out b*tch,
