Infrared photography is used to make sure no vegetation that needs to be cut backed and smoked are missed.

Fun fact: if a private entity does an illegal search and gives the results to law enforcement, it has been ruled by the supreme court that this is not a violation of the fourth amendment search & seizure rights.

Don't shine those powerful blue-green lasers at them. It can blind pilots and cause crashes.

I wonder if one member of the crew is required to report to Homeland Security, lats and lons of suspicious activity.

I'm betting they get $ from HS to do it. But it's just a theory.

The helicopter works for PG&E one day and for CAMP, COMET, ect the next day. What a way to stay busy.

Really?

I know one of the lineman that patrol in helicopters and just the other day he was complaining about how the government has the ability to use satellites to watch him.

And on his off days he likes to ride Harley's.

PG&E and it's employees do not look for marijuana or any illicit drugs. PG&E employees do not turn any marijuana growers or their plants. We are not law enforcement and take neutral stance on the issue, after all, it would place us in harms way if we did. We have been instructed by our union and employer to ignore it. We just have a job to do and that is to provide gas and electric service to our customers safely.

Only if someones life or property is jeopardy. No grow gardens are mapped or turned into law enforcement, PG&E has enough to do trying to deal with their infrastructure maintenance. And No, they don't make money from the government to do any spying, it's not that sophisticated of an operation doing patrols. Don't let your paranoia get to you, it's the Feds and maybe the Sheriffs that you need to be concerned with.

And I have ocean front property in Arizona.

They're already in harms way when they fly a property for PG&E one day and fly the same property for a CAMP raid. People aren't blind. If PG&E's job was employee safety and only providing electricty, they wouldn't use the same helicopters that fly for CAMP. The policy of contracting for both puts PG&E in harms way and confuses them with law enforcement. Especially when their helicopter is parked with other CAMP choppers.

And what about the pilots that hate pot and/or the SoHum lifestyle? They DO give the coordinates to CAMP. It's called job security and keeping their contract with both outfits.
