PG&E announces rate increase
Pacific Gas & Electric announced what it termed a "moderate" increase in gas and electric rates for January, with average residential gas rates dipping slightly and electrical rates increasing compared with a year ago.

"The revenue will be used to repair and replace aging infrastructure and invest in clean energy supplies, the utility said, adding that gas rates have not been affected by costs stemming from the San Bruno pipeline explosion last year."
Yeah,right! Then where will PG&E get the money for the lawyers to defend themselves in court? Gas rates as a whole? Compared to all of the gas rates in the U.S.? San Bruno will cost EVERYONE within PG&E's sphere of influence.
