The role of "God" at the Democratic Convention.

For Heaven’s Sake

If you happen to be a Republican campaign operative and/or a Fox News Channel chat host, that unexpectedly joyful Convention in Charlotte the other week made for glum viewing.

One of the few points of light on the right was the discovery, just as the festivities were getting under way, that the Democrats had drafted a platform that—like George Washington’s farewell address, Abraham Lincoln’s “House Divided” speech, and the Constitution of the United States—does not mention God by name. Hallelujah

On nation under god was not added until the 1900,s....ALL REFERENCE TO GOD WAS ADDED ONCE THE PURITANS TOOK OVER.....Time to get all that religous crap back out of our nation-----LIKE FOUNDING FATHERS MEANT.

Hmmm..NOT ONLY was GOD brought up in the Demo convention but also at the Repub's also..HAS anyone asked God if HE wanted His name mentioned at all?? Didn't ANYONE bother to send Him a memo??
