Nissan price cuts boost its U.S. market, threatening Detroit

The price cuts didn't really show up here. You needed to finance through Nissan to get any price reductions. Nissan has low key/low pressure sales dealerships.
The CVT transmissions Nissan uses alot doesn't impress as a transmission that will age well. Heard they are super complex and expensive to repair. But it's small enough and becoming common enough in a few years it might be cheaper. Nissan doesn't give a 40/60 split in many car either leading to storage issues for many.
Hopefully the Nissans age well, if not the brand will not have any sustainability after the next few years.
