OSI is an emerging company with a strong presence on Long Island. They hire scientists, technicians, engineers, sales and marketing people and they want to expand which means more jobs! This is a no brainer to allow them to expand. The elected Republicans better move on this fast and start serving the people of Long Island. We don't need power struggles in Albany just to satisfy one individuals ego. We need the jobs, we need the technology, we need the taxable income. Keep OSI on Long Island and make it your first priority.

So 3 days the republicans are in and it's their fault. You idiot - the reps in Suffolk should be jumping at giving them anything they want. Problem on Long Island is there are too many rich people that do not want anything to upset the air or something. GIVE THEM ANYTHING to keep them here. |

Did you even read the article? It stated that Republican State Sen. Charles Fuschillo Jr. imposed a "no bid" clause on the contstruction. The key word was Republican. Yeah, they better move on this to keep biotehcnology on Long Island. If you want to attract other companies to move here, you accomodate the growing company that wants to expand. I believe in job growth. I believe in preseving the jobs here on Long Island. I'm sorry that you don't.

MetLife pulled all their IT jobs out of Hauppuage on 6/12 many employees sent notes to Newsday trying to prevent it. Newsday wouldn't even cover the story. Now the jobs are gone. Why is this story different who's got who in there pocket
