They may have the cash, but I doubt that they have a happy and healthy life. Ususally it's one or another.

I don't get it. None of the top 10 is among "big oil." Have to send BHO to take their money because it's not fair that they get to make so much money.

Hanna: You are right. At that level, they work 80 hrs a week, keep up an image so that stockholders don't get a whiff that anything can be wrong, and your every step is noticed. These guys do end up living a short life from stress and their families usually pay for it. I'm glad to be a middle class guy.

You'd think that some of these high living CEO's would be afraid that the poor might show up on their doorstep some day and punch their ticket. The same risk should be warranted for the health plan CEO's that keep raising costs to the point no one can afford health care. All they need is a few terminal patients deciding to go out with a bang and take someone with them.

Really makes me wonder how many people/jobs had to be cut from those companies so they could make the rich richer...just like I've seen many time.Com panies announce cutbacks in the workforce only to announce a couple weeks later CEO get huge raise package....

The pay to CEO is way too much money, there are people out there working hard for the company , that money should help with their salaries, health insurance and other issues. I Find this corporate pigs! I would say is reasonable if CEO makes 10 million or less would be fair, but that amount of money is out of range!

Please...
These guys make a bundle of money because they make the shareholders of the companies a bundle in returns on their investments.

If you want the CEO to share his paycheck with the poor or anyone else, then I'd suggest you move to a socialist country where everyone is paid equally. Otherwise, in the United States, its called capitalism and thats the way we run things...

yeah ,its ridiculous, but its down from previous years. United Technologies had David George, who made over $100 million two years running before he decided to reduce his position, but penny pinching was his style, low and no benefits for his people. he did get awards for diversity, but worker satisfaction was typically below 30%(in a good company that is 70%).
there are a whole slew of other scums that make geater than 10% of the company profits, including Countrywide's Mozillo whose contract guaranteed high bonuses if the company got taken over ( ie their ptcy caused that big bonus to trigger).
None of this will change as long as the employee's displeasure doesnt get miltant to the point where these people have to hide from their long suffering staff.

Holy crap.....I lose my job due to the crumby building industry, due to lenders doing what they wanted to make people qualify for home loans..and our governmnet let then run amuck......(which they couldn't afford anyway) And these high rollers have the NERVE to lets us know how much they made. Well congrats,,,,God knows you DON'T need that much money..I hope they remember all of us who HAVE NO JOBS !!!!!!!!! While me and my kids eat dog food...I hope they enjoy their steak.....Are they truly happy anyway? Stop glotting.....Its hardly becoming...I hope you choke on your money! Try giving it to all those people you screwed out of it...

COUNTYWIDE was the biggest crooks going...They knew damn well people who they were giving mortgages to COULDN'T afford thrm...They gave them to them anyway........80% loan and a 20%....They and other lenders talked people into by passing the mortgage system (which was placed to protect from forecloser) taling out 2, yes 2 loans.. the 20% laoh was called the equity in the house...These people fell for it...You tell me who's fault is the mortgage mess????? ITS THE LENDERS......I hope they are all happy....As I now sit with no job...I hope they are happy......They need to pay for what they did....And yet they expect us to feel sorry for their losses???? Yeah right...I'll get right on their pity parade....These scumbag lenders should NOT be allowed to get away with what they did to the American ecomony..........
