Thanks to all democrats the commonwealth was spared from a vicious attack in the hen house. This thing did not bother the republicans at all and suggests business as usual. Mcdonnell did embrace sledd to be a senior adviser over the hen house.

Here we go again, not letting the left hand know what the right hand is doing. Lets keep a watch over the shenanigans that they
will try to sneak over we virginians. Don't have the deer head-light syndrome. Henry Howell would say, "keep the big boys honest."

Thats because of reaganomics and graham/bliley
bills promoting "bigger is better" jargon.
To top it off, 8 years of corrupt no bid contracts
with haliburton/cheney and the fake unjustified wars. You "teaheads" keep throwing the american
workers under the bus.

Palinist do blindly give someone $120,000 dollars to sniff a short skirt speech. Fools.

I don't really see how selecting a new commerce secretary really changes anything since it states that his first choice will work as an unpaid intern. So, he can influence policy and get insider information that could be beneficial to his businesses -- but it is okay as long as he isn't paid to do it?

Doesn't anyone else see this as a problem? Quite frankly, I'm tired of the whole Republican vs. Democrat mudslinging. Until we realized that ALL politicians these days are corrupt, nothing will change. There are no real differences between the two parties. Both are owned by donors who contribute money to BOTH parties to hedge their bets. We need to stop being distracted by the partisan "show" which is designed to keep us infighting rather than going after the corruption that is the REAL problem.

With idiots like nothead in control of Congress since 2007, the economy has tanked. Now thanks to these idiots, the national debt has doubled in the last year alone.

America has woken up and started to correct their errors of 2006 and 2008. New Jersey and Virginia turned down Democrats by large margins and now America is following.

I don't care how high the debt gets, it can quadruple for all i care. It kept a great portion of your wall-streeters from losing
their jobs, not to mention your flimsy job also.

The problems with the United States is not Democrat VS Republcian but rather Constitutionalism VS socialism. I myself am totally for the United States being operated under the auspices of the U.S. Constitution and the only powers granted to the federal government is the defense of this country and everything else is delegated to the states. In the beginning there wasn't any elections for senators and representatives to go represent us in Washington. The senators and representatives were appointed by the elected state officials but these politicians in the Nineteenth century had to set up the electoral system and since then electoral, not popular vote, determined who is president and vice-president. Totally unconstitutional.

Oh how things have changed. I love how we operate in this country, with our dog eat dog mentality and winner takes all and to the victor goes the spoils.
Go to washington and introduce a bill dismantling the current structure we have, see how far that goes.

Without the electoral college all a candidate would have to do is win say New York, California and Texas. This would hardly be democratic at all. Those who put together our nation were very very smart indeed.

The electoral college is doing just what it was intended to do and that is to sway elections. Before the electoral college, the presidential election was by popular vote and whoever got the most votes was president and whoever got the second most votes was vice-president and the United States could have a president of one party and a vice- president of another party and that did not suit the powers that be and they wanted both offices of the same party and voila, electoral college. It was not sent up by the founding fathers in this manner. I wonder if not a teahead was comparing the tea baggers to the pol pot regime of Cambodia, Hmmm. In the words of Count Vlad, very interesting. The electoral college is the reason that candidates for the presidency are more apt to visit California and New York more often than Nebraska or Rhode Island. We'll send second and third echelon to Rhode Island and Nebraska and I'll go to California and New York. Vive le popular vote!!!!
