Sprint has thrown away many opportunities with the merger. The current dual mode phones have had less than great reviews and do not feature Iden roaming which makes sense because the Iden foot print is bigger than Sprints. As a Nextel customer I feel alienated because of the way the rebanding and network maintenance are being handled. I have poor service in NYC which is ridiculous. Also I can't stand Sprint and never liked the company which I associate with poor service. Other NYC Sprint users have told me of signal problems. When my contract is up I plan on defecting.

Sprint has always had flimsy, cheap, LG and Samsung phones which will not lure Nextel customers. What Sprint needs is to do: 1. Add more transmitters to its Iden network because Nextel is the service that is suffering more. Forget about it being an older network because it cost billions to put up and too may people are using it under the Nextel and Boost brands. 2. Offer phones with Iden voice roaming when CDMA is not available. 3. Make direct connect cheaper to use. 4. Offer more advanced "IC" dual mode phones that are true replacements for current Iden phones. 5. Take advantage of the success of Boost Mobile by expanding the company and its Iden coverage with an integration of Sprint's CDMA. 6. Market Boost Mobile's GPS Boost Loopt to Nextel and Sprint handsets because it's useful. 7. Most importantly inform Nextel customers of what's going on and have a real plan for integration that won't alienate us. 8. Force Gary Forsee out of the picture and let Nextel's people take over Sprint. 9. Rename the company under one new Brand name with one headquarters. 10. Continue to exist without me and many others if they can't get it right as I my patience is running out.

I am a Nextel business customer. Sprint has done nothing but, screw up my account. If you scan the internet you will find that they have many problems( other carriers as well). I will add that Sprint does not know how ot deal with business users.
In Boston (charlestown actually) there is a service center it also had a business office to help answer questions etc. When Sprint purchased Nextel there was a meeting of the business sales forces. There was over 200 Nextel BUSINESS sales people there and only 5 Sprint. I should have know then that there were going to be problems.
They do not understand the business use of walkie-talkie

I beg to differ with all of you, when I had Nextel I could never get service, since I switch to sprint my service is much better.
