I was told by Comcast Cable that I would need a box for each set that would cost almost $10 per box. I am angry. I have 4 analog sets and I can't afford an additional $40 per month!

I can't afford a new converter let alon a HD television, All these big company's with their commercials shoud pay for our converters seeing that they make us watch their commercials. I thinnk this is just the cable companys trying to put the squeeze on us, trying goe get us to get cable. What is this country coming to? Next thing you know, they will be charging us for the air we breath. I think I'll just throw my televion out after they make the change. I watch to much TV as it is, maybe I'll go back to smoking weed, drinking beer and listing to hard rock. That is if they don't start charging us for listining to the radio too.

The article is titled How do I get a $40 voucher for a digital-to-analog converter box and then they fail to tell us! This whole thing is a crock! I have 4 analog TVs and can't afford the 40 buck per month fee for converter boxes. As a result, I've lost some favorite channels (that only broadcast in digital). Converter boxes are at least 60 bucks each and I'm getting one voucher for 40 bucks? WOW, thanks a lot. It's time we all start to read more!

with all the increases in cost
of living today it is beyond
human thought that the government should change
the signal for watching tv
which has been a free commodity for as long
as i can recollect.
now it will cost the public
to continue watching tv.

what ever happen to freedom of choice.

The forty dollar voucher should be allowed to be used on digital tuners that cost as much as $169 because Samsung makes a digital tuner that retails at $169. This is only nineteen dollars beyond the allowed $150 limit.

Samsung digital tuner retails at $169. The voucher allows up to $150. This is only nineteen dollars beyond the maximum limit. The voucher should be allowed to be used beyond the $150 limit. Samsung makes one of the best digital tuners on the market.

I thought we lived in a free country where we could choose what we want to do say and watch this is just another example of the government trying to control us, they are trying to keep the country out of recessing by mking us pay pay pay for every little thing and keeping the minimum wages the same bull is what it is maybe we would be better off moving out of the country.

here's the web address -

https://www.dtv2009.gov/Default.aspx

it actually took only a minute to apply for the coupon, but i'd recommend doing it soon; after applying, the site said the thing isn't going to mail out for a month or so.

take care.

What a pack of losers. You have 4 tvs and can't afford the extra expense. Here's a tip: Turn off your stupid tvs and go get a job. If you are so poor that you can't afford $40, its your own fault for being lazy.

Get over yourselves. Do you know how much energy the U.S. is saving for having tv stations turn to Digital? Do you enjoy your TV now? How about your computer or your I-Pod? Its called technology advancement, which also brought refrigerators, dishwashers and toilets. Its life, get with the times.
