"We're going to treat them the way we would treat an opponent," said Anita Dunn, the White House communications director, in a telephone interview on Sunday.

Instead of governing, the White House continues to be in campaign mode, and Fox News is the target of their attack mentality, Michael Clemente, the channels senior vice president for news, said in a statement on Sunday.Perhaps the energy would be better spent on the critical issues that voters are worried about.
That about sums it up.

Can you imagine what the gov't controlled media would have said if Bush had said he was going to treat them like an opponent? They would STILL be screaming freedom of the press, freedom of speech, obstruction, and anything else they could throw out there. The blatant one sidedness of this smells worse than a chickenhouse in the middle of summer. This OPPRESSIVE administration is making major political mistakes by talking and acting this way. If they THINK they can stiffle a reputable, professional, national news agency, what do you THINK they would do to US as individuals for speaking out against them? Don't THINK it can't happen. It's HAPPENING right in front of our faces! And this is JUST the beginning. This is something that crosses party lines. This is something that affects us ALL. This is the impeding of one of our most basic RIGHTS. 2010 vote the self-interest, anti-American, incombents on BOTH sides of the isle out and vote in American values, America first, statesmen in.

Fox News better get ready for IRS audits and the "Fairness Doctrine". Obama and his minions are against free speech, so they are out to shut down the one outlet that doesn't report Pelosi-Reid-Obama at 100% positive coverage.

The White house tried this agains Rush Limbaugh back in February and lost the battle. They'll lose this one also. In a way, I am glad the White house is spending their time/energy on this as that's less time they have to screw things up.
As a side note, a study by the Pew Research Center showed that 40 percent of Fox News stories on Obama in the last six weeks of the campaign were negative. Similarly, 40 percent of Fox News' stories on Obama's Republican opponent, Sen. John McCain, were negative.
On CNN, by contrast, there was a 22-point disparity in the percentage of negative stories on Obama (39 percent) and McCain (61 percent). The disparity was even greater at MSNBC, according to Pew, where just 14 percent of Obama stories were negative, compared to a whopping 73 percent of McCain stories -- a spread of 59 points.

Fortunately the Fairness doctrine only applies to radio. People NEED to understand this is NOT a left or right issue. This is a FREEDOM of SPEECH issue. The attempted suppression and if we are not careful eventual oppression of OUR right to free speech and ability to voice our opposition to any gov't we don't agree with. Left or right. Prime example, when Baucus threatened Humanna for telling THEIR own customers the gov't plan would be bad for seniors, but not a word to AARP for supporting the bill. Now we've got congress threatening the insurance company's independent advisers that said the bill will cause private coverage for individuals and families to go up. The gov't threatened them with "legislative action". This administration is intentionally THREATENING anyone who opposes THEIR agenda. This SHOULD be seen by ALL of us as a bad sign of things to come. When ANY gov't starts to THREATEN ANY of it's citizens for merely disagreeing with a policy they have, it's time for ALL of us to start taking a long hard look at what's going on and take the appropriate action to bring things back in line. 2010 vote the self-interest, anti-American, incombents on BOTH side of the isle out, and vote the America first statesmen in

.....and what historical figure does Anita Dunn turn to in matters of political philosophy? George Washington? Thomas Jefferson? Abraham Lincoln?
Well how about this? Mao Tse-Tung
Obama's fundamental transformation of America becomes just a bit clearer!
