Dare I ask the race of the suspect !!

Does it matter? When someone starts shooting at other people it doesn't matter what race they are, they need to be stopped. I don't think any police officer is going to say well he is ____ so I will just let him keep shooting people. At that point the officer is doing his duty to protect the public from a threat! Please don't inject race into a discussion like this.

For everyone's information the autopsy confirmed the suspect died from a self inflicted gunshot. Although the railroad police officer did fire at the suspect , none of his rounds struck him. The local authorities went on record stating that the railroad police officer most likely saved several lives by his actions.
