Keep artificially lowering interest rates Fed and send the dollar further into the toilet. To quote Bernake the week before the cut, " We (the Fed) don't let the credit markets dictate Fed policy" Yeah right.

Thank god is all I can say. They have made a mockery of the banking industry and cheapened it. Not to mention in todays day and age, there is no need for a person to need a bank open 7 days a week. That's why there is direct deposit, atm's, telephone banking, internet banking, etc, etc. If it weren't for the fact I work for a bank, I would have no reason to be there. Good riddons to bad business!

Banker you are an ignorant, selfish jerk and its people like you that make life hard for busy middle class families. I for one depend on the convenience of Sunday banking. With my busy work schedule, erratic hours and a wife and 2 kids at home I can't always make it to the bank during the "classic" banking hours. I can't get direct deposit for my income and last I checked it is impossible to send cash to a bank via any of the methods you listed. On top of that Commerce Bank is the only bank I have been able to trust, since the last few banks I have dealt with have hit me with hidden fees and/or outrageous non-hidden fees, and in the case of one small local bank, I was having constant trouble with their check card...it actually WASN'T accepted everywhere visa was accepted, and the companies and bank were constantly insisting it was the other's fault, and the security of that bank was atrocious. I had a family member close out my account and retrieve my money for me and the bank did it without asking for a signature or any form of ID. My money just wasn't safe. Now I have had nothing but positive experiences at Commerce and enjoy the excellent customer service, low fees, free checking, and most of all Sunday banking which is usually the only day I have time to make a deposit.

That being said, if you hate being at the bank so much, quit and find another job moron!

I hate to break it to you, but I am a middle class citizen. A middle class citizen with a college education who works two jobs and volunteers and does not bank at my employer for privacy reasons and has not walked into the bank I use for over a year and a half, so don't tell me it isn't possible. as far as you not being able to get direct deposit, it's time for your employer to get out of the dark ages. I also had an account with Commerce for a little over a year, but closed it out when their "free checking" wasn't free anymore and they started charging minimum balance requirements. The one time in my life that I bounced a check was with them, I had more than enough to cover it in my savings account and no one ever contacted me and had the gaul to charge me $35 when the industry standard was $30 at the time. If they are so great, how come no one ever contacted me to tell me I was short when if they looked at my history they would have seen I never bounced a check with them before and I had more than enough in my other account. There cheap gimmicks lure people in, then once they've got you, they give it to you good. Plus, why would I want to bank with a company that's executives have had more problems with the government for shady dealings. Real good role model they are portraying to young people.

NOOOOO! Where the heck is the founder? He would've never sold. Dang it, it's just making it harder for the person to find another bank who likes the great customer service and true 7 day banking.

I've been a Commerce banking customer since they first hit my area of NJ about 9 years ago. I LOVE COMMERCE. I like later drive up hours, and I love 7 days a week banking! I was very disappointed to hear they were bought out.
The tellers at the bank told me that "nothing is going to change" as far as customer service and banking hours. I hope not.
I brought Commerce about 5 or 6 new customers over the years, because I was always bragging about the great service and banking hours.

By the way Liz... Commerce checking IS free, at least in Jersey it is. I have two different types of checking accounts and they are both free.
And I've been under 50 dollars in one of them many times; no charges. Sorry...you're wrong.

I love love love commerce. I have a student checking account, and i suck at managing money so i over draw a lot...guess what? NO OVERDRAFT Fee's!!!! If I deposit my check with an over drafted account, they'll put it in as cash where as Harleysville my first bank that i went to would hold my check for about three days and god for bid Monday was a holiday i didn't get my check until the following Friday one time. That was it, absolutely ridiculous, I've had no problems with commerce. I've lost my debit card about a hundred times, they don't charge me to get a new one and it takes about ten minutes. My bank knows me well enough that i got my id and bank card stolen so i had no identification through a round of questions and verifying my information they were able to get me my bank card with out ID. Stop being such dicks about it, share your opinions...everyone has em who cares, some of us liked commerce some of us didn't be respectful? There's enough hate in the world do we really need to argue about the bank?

You work in the banking business and don't have the intelligence to spell RIDDANCE correctly? I for one like the 7 day banking, extended hours etc. Hopefully they will do away with your bank job so we don't have to deal with negative people like you. Maybe get your government handout.

If you called and disputed the problem they would have waived your fees. Some things slip through the cracks, as in every establishment.
