How much data will I need for Netflix?..?

Our internet plan (in Canada) has a cap of 60GB.
I never knew this until TODAY, seriously. So clearly we don't come close (which is surprising, we use wifi on it, download a TON of stuff online, etc etc).

If we're watching on average 2-5 hours of netflix night.. how much data usage do you think that'd be? I am wondering if I will need to upgrade my internet package or not.(either way it's still cheaper than paying for cable!)

Thanks!

Sorry what I meant was download speed like l.5 or 6.0 megabits per sec. This more or less corresponds to bandwidth. Fortunately, Most ISP's here [USA] do not limit total bytes used. I found out form Netflix that 1.5 to 3.0 will work. I got it, but still having some problems. I will call them again soon.
Thanks for comments.

that person lied. anything you see on your computer uses bandwidth - even streaming. The quality of your picture is based on the resolution of the device that is streaming it so it is hard to say how much bandwidth you are using. The higher the quality the more bandwidth it will use. From a search it looks like it could be an average of 1 gig an hour.

My advise is to watch a movie, then immediately go cable company's website and check to see how much data you used to see the movie.

the slower speeds will work but you will have problems, nothing you can do about it. It will stop and go at times because the speed is not there for a continuous flow of data to your playing device.

I finally uped my speed to 3 megabits per second, but I found
still some problems. I called my isp and found that it could be
due to loose connections. I have been tightening them with some results. I am going to try cleaning and retighting more connections between the incoming phone lines and the computer dsl modem. I appreciate your sharing your experience with me. I did not know
that this was a common problem.

Thanks I came across this problem as well. I'll use the speedtest!
