Juan Williams: Crossing the line

Juan Williams certainly did cross the line. He made one honest comment that went against the party line and was turned on by the people who had acted like his friends.
I was no fan of this man, but he most certainly didn't deserve to be fired. Maybe NPR should have asked George Soros for a million bucks to compel Williams to resign. It would have been better for both NPR and Williams if he would have just said he was leaving.
Now many want NPR de-funded and some in Congress will hear. A lot more trouble will come of this compared to just paying the guy off and letting him show himself to the door.
