Um, actually he got his success due to Oprah. Seriously. This is my field of expertise and this guy would be another mediocre dog trainer in a shed if not for Oprah. This season is rumored to be his last thanks to a lot of effort to get Nat Geo to pull what is old schoo methods based on pain and intimidation but glossed over to look new and fresh - um, same ways I was taught over 25 years ago and back then I started to see the dangers and stress and risks for a short term fix that looks good. Milan has capitalized on people looking for fast fixes without actual understanding of the long term dangers. Now people know, he has been called out and he is feeling it.

But his empire was started by Oprah. Then she suddenly dropped him like a hot potato and some of us know why she probably did.

If not for Oprah... Milan would have been nothing... Also does not hurt that is in California - land of the sympathizers. He owes his business and not the demise of it to us.

And yup, I deal with lazy Americans and their dogs many times a week and know what - MOST OWNERS ARE NOT LAZY THEY JUST NEED TO KNOW WHAT WORKS, HOW AND WHY and he has dome nothing to educate himself and use the lack of knowledge in the American for his own gain...

Gee Thanks OPRAH! You helped an illegal... Bet you feel right good about it...

Gee, we sure need more illegal aliens like him in the USA. Such a stunning and productive contribution to society. At least he pays taxes. Now if the other 20 million illegals would do the same, then go home, we'd all be happy.

Yes, this is your perfect example of the so-scary dangerous Mexican who has commited the nonviolent crime of crossing the border that didn't used to be there without waiting in line. What evil!

Oprah exposes talent, she doesn't produce it. If you're so great, why haven't you experienced the Oprah effect???

The problem is that if Millan has been here any length of time he has also committed perjury, the use of forged documents, and probably conspiracy -- all of which are felonies.

Now run along, ignorant quisling trash. If you want to support these parasites, open your home to them. Otherwise, just shut your fat mouth.

First off, Milan is not a talent. And yes, I am out there and respected in my field. I just keep it very quiet because I do not WANT fame. But I will tell you, my family has been on Animal Planet highlighting the work we have done. I have been published and interviewed many times for radio and local TV. I just do not want fame or a TV show or that crap because I know that side of my field and it is not my type of life.

Oprah did not expose talen here - she exposed a mediocre trainer whom she was referred to for help when she got several puppies at the same time. She was in over her head and had she done research into dog training and behavior (or her staff) she would have learned the dangers long term of his techniques (as had been written about by many top behaviorists). She saw what she assumed were wonders.(Not really) and next thing... WHAMMO!!!

A few years later - she dropped him and took on a tall, blonde European woman for her new dogs. Oprah got her tail handed to her by the dog training and behavior community too for her highlighting of this person who was using techniques proven over and over to lead to behavioral issues over the years. But since Oprah foound him, the average housewife jumped - I got loads of calls for miracle work just like Oprah;s guy did. Oh crap... explain risks, show safer ways, yeah... OH WOW HOW COULD OPRAH DO THIS??? Then Nat Geo picked him up and they got thousands of letters from this community BEGGING them not to give him a show. Want to know the response we all got?

"Well Oprah had him so he MUST be good." No he is not. Oprah was taken by a snake oil salesman who has not evolved. Think witch doctor vs trained physician. She was CHARMED. And Milan would be a great HOST for other trainers. Now one of the Great Behaviorists and researchers did appear with him and showed him better ways with less damage long term and how he could do without touching a dog what Milan does with a hidden ear pinch (VERY PAINFUL - I was trained that way almost three decade ago now so I know what it is and how it works and hurts but Milan gives it a glossed look) and Milan was shocked and truly does want to learn differently this man stated but the thing it will he?(I was at a lecture series with this behaviorist this weekend - he did not bash Milan but said he does have a lot of growth to do and understanding to learn).

Anyhow, Oprah was taken by his charm and looks, she was ignorant about the background and dog knowledge. Had she known, she would have gone into her same state and chosed one of the far more researched, proven and knowledgable folk in her state.

So anyhow snake oil salesman, charmed a powerful woman and is now an icon.

And yes, many of us knew a long time ago that he came here illegally - or at least suspected based on what we heard. He came in AFTER the first amnesty. He is 40, came in at 21 so that would be what, 1991.

So, illegal comes here after amesty, he literally took all the things dog trainers and behaviorists have known for DECADES but he uses subtly the same methods he advocates against if you watch him and actually understand what is happening (just as I would never tell a neurosurgeon how to do brain surgery... I do not expect the average dog owner to know either...) He caught the eye of a celebrity when she got in over her head (any trainer will tell you taking on more than one pup at a time is a mistake and she had FOUR) and was rewarded for coming here illegally. He is now a US citizen.

I do not care who or where you came from - illegal is illegal...

But no, I do not want that life. It takes too much away from family and I know personally how mucy gets edited out and down and cut and whatever after hours of taping and how the image can be totally changed. No, not my cup of tea. Yeah, the monet would be nice but I know the other side of celeb and TV shows and it is really not what I want at all.

Yes, crossing the border illegally immediately gave him criminal status. His loyalty to Mexico and his dislike for American citizens are obvious. What isn't obvious, however, is his dual citizenship. What's evil is he won't admit that his first loyalty is to Mexico. He's using celebrity to manipulate political opinion for the benefit of Mexicans alone.

The sovereign border IS here, and should be respected under mandate of our law and international law. If you want to go back in time, then you have to give Mexico and the USA back to Spain and France, and let them dicker with the natives. ROTFL! You can't have it both ways.

In fact, if you really want to go that route and do it properly and justly, all native Americans would have to return to northern Asia, where their ancestors came from, every US citizen would pick a country to go to, and all of the Americas would be totally empty land.

But we all know that really isn't the issue. The North Amerian Union is the issue, and Mexicans are jonesing for it really bad. So they lie, cheat and steal before the USA is even murdered by the NAU because their greed overcomes their caution, which is giving the traitorous CFR fits.

The CFR MUST pretend to enforce our border and immigration laws because the NAU they want to install is treason. Citizens would have every right and duty to rebel with arms if they force the NAU on us, or if they openly refuse to enforce our laws.

So they have to pretend with token enforcement gestures and still placate their impatient Mexican allies while they launch massive propaganda campaigns (with content like your post that attempts to minimize a crucial problem) to try to change the minds of US citizens. The CFR would much rather have citizens CHOOSE the NAU, thereby killing the USA themselves, so there wouldn't be rebellion and war.

All Mexicans ARE dangerous and are the enemies of US citizens. Mexico wants to destroy our country and has pretty much admitted it.

There are so many talented American's that could have achieved the American dream..and for an American,(Oprah), to help Cesar, an Illegal Alien achieve it, is wrong...I never really liked Oprah, anyway..I hear Cesar is getting a divorce http://www.themoneytimes.com/node/116318

" "This immigrant pays good taxes," he said, winking at me — and he's unafraid to share his thoughts about "privileged," "lazy" American workers and the treatment of illegal immigrants in the U.S."

Another Mexican American with divided loyalties. When he can stand on the border and fire on anyone coming across the border, man, woman or child to defend America then he will be a American.

Until then he is just another Mexican here for the benefits.

Someone needs to whisper in his ear "you'll never have respect from Americans" because you broke in this Country. Probably took someone's identity and tricked your way to the financial ends you made. But you will always be a thief that took what didn't belong to you and your whispering day's are short-lived. Your practices' are fake and not considered professional training, just made up crap.
