The nomination for most IDIOTIC thing said in court is....

"Your honor, I was under alcohol and drugs and cannot be held responsible for what happened to those two people,"

If he doesn't feel that he should be held responsible, then WHO does he feel should be responsible? It sounds more like he's just an idiot and it's not the alcohol or drugs causing it.

Couple of Questions:

Is this like the fun thing to do in Pottsville - hang out and get wasted with random old homeless looking dudes? What happened to downing a six of shlitz in the bed of your pick-up truck while your buddy spray paints his name on the highway over pass?

and more seriously (and consequently more interesting as well...)...

Does anybody know WHY the guy "aced" these kids?

Sorry for your loss. I'm glad they sentenced him to life. I'd prefer a slow painful death for him, but some things just ain't fair!

Why did the DA cave in and plead this case? He had a clear death penalty case. Let the old man prove he was drunk and high at the time. Anybody can make up BS after the fact. This guy should fry.

The DA needs to get a spine instead of trying to clear off his desk.

AS I SEE IT ------ Mike "Mainer Mike" Brown.

I love it when a criminal blames his or her behavior on drugs and alcohol like Norman Nickle is.

These people get addicted because they use, use, use, and abuse addictive substances that can alter your mind and affect rationale, and they don't think that could cause them to do something foolish and deadly?

Hey, that's the chance you take when you decide to booze it up and use illegal substances. I don't feel bad for Mr. Nickle! Nobody forced him to become an addict!

I'm happy that he'll be in prison forever, because intentional murder should result in the ending of your life freedoms if you kill someone. Sounds fair to me.

I also think capitol punishment is too good for murderers. Let them suffer in a prison cell, and rot until they die.
