This wonderful man is my father. Not only was he a valuable member of his community, but he was a terrific dad. He successfully fought off two other types of cancer before being clobbered by pancreatic cancer. A lot of people called my Dad a fighter, but I think it was more than that. He was not a quitter. If he started something, he saw it through. He lived way longer than any of the doctors thought that he would. He rarely complained and always had a positive attitude when most people would have given in to the pain and the diagnosis. I am so proud of my Dad. I miss him more than I ever imagined I would.
