I guess insiders know what we all suspect
The letter published, right or wrong, reflects the opinions of those who see an exceptional company going down.

It's easy to blame the management, but if customers don't buy the products. Who is to blame?
Sites are closing all over the world and laying off key people to cut costs. In six months there will be no way back into the handset market.

It's hard to believe that Greg and Co know how or even want to fight on. If nothing very special comes out of the Motorola stall very fast, then in 2009 Motorola handsets will be a thing of the past
