Citigroup Inc. , Merrill Lynch & Co. and seven other U.S. banks paid $32.6 billion in bonuses in 2008 while receiving $175 billion in taxpayer funds, according to a report by New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo .

Soon as as about 20% of us are cold enough from having our homes foreclosed on and having no place to live, and as soon as we're hungry enough from not being able to afford food from not having a job.

Of course, we may not be healthy enough given the lack of universal healthcare, but "them's the breaks."
