It was a one time of $14 missing. He used all cashiers as an example that day. You could not come to work til each cashier paid the $14.00.

So they paid $14 in total? Or $14 each? Either way, if it's just a one-time mistake then I'd let it go. People aren't perfect, and it could have been something as small as punching in that you received a $20 when you only got a $10. If shortages like that continued they should pay, but if it's only once then relax. |

The $14 is like 2 hrs of wages for them. It does not sound like alot. But for some it is their livelyhood.

So someone's till was down that $14 multiplied by each person?! That's not fair at all, because if the till was really down by $42 that is from one cashier, not three. Have you or the girlfriend tried speaking to the labour board in the area or McDonald's Head Office? |

It was one cashier. Nobody knew who. So the store manager said all cashiers had to pay $14 each in cash. If they did not, then they could not come to work til they pay. That's what I was trying to tell you on post# 404

Which is ridiculous. You can't ask someone else to pay for that mistake no matter how stupid or large it is. If they wanted to re-cooperate then they'd have to get it from the person who was in charge of the till.

I would just like to post this to thank McDonalds. This is the typical Drive-thru experience I have had:
Recorded voice says go ahead with your order. I go ahead with my order. Rude voice says "Hold on" or "WHAT?!!?" I hold and/or repeat my order. I drive forward to the money taking window. They say "Free-sevedy fo." I give them a ten. They grab it and sling the change back, not really caring if it lands in your hand or not. I pull forward to pick up my order. It is usually wrong, and they are highly put-out that I ask for it right. I drive away and realize that after all that, it still tastes like I'm taking a bite out of the building. So again, I'd like to thank McDonalds. Without their consistently shitty service and food, I might still be eating there and ruining my health and my waistline. After about 4 experiences like the one above, I officially boycotted them and haven't been in over a year. They add nothing good to our society and should be forced to shut down for the sake of future generations. |

Wow, McDonald's was a piece of sh*t job. I work at Walgreens now (pays tuition), and considering it's retail I still have to deal with a lot of bullsh*t, but whenever I begin to start losing my mind I just think back 2-3 years ago when I worked at McDonald's and, well, know it could be worse.
The problem with the customers is that they're, well, idiots. Why else would they eat in a place that's only going to kill them? To make matters worse, though, they think of the employees as shells that run on criticism and simply don't bother showing respect for their fellow man. A McDonald's employee's job is to take orders and/or make food, not be a servant; and even if it were to be a servant, think twice before you demean someone, or at least do your karma a favor and lose some sleep over it. I could go on and on with the crap I had to deal with at the worst job I ever experienced, but I'm going to leave the non-employees with this. The person who you're talking to over that intercom is AT WORK. They are DOING THEIR JOB. Do you like where you work? Try having a bunch of people making your job that much harder and seemingly doing their best to push you over the edge. The fact that customers are so ridiculous is the reason why you have many bad workers there---people simply come and go. Next time you go to McDonald's, try to put a smile on the person's face who is taking your order. Most of the mistakes 'they make' aren't their fault after all, and aren't even the cooks', they're yours. But they'll forgive you for that in a heartbeat. If they see your car parked in a driveway, though, they'll remember every mean word you uttered them. Besides... isn't it just stupid to yell at the person who is serving your food? Talk about being unheeding. |

And one more thing...
People, if you really don't like the service there THAT MUCH, just don't eat there. It's that simple. Yelling at the employees is fueling worse and worse customer service; not eating there will force the managers to make a few changes as to who they hire, the store owners to make a few changes to the pay rate, and the biggest, baddest, most evil Republicans at the very tippity top to pay the store owners more. It's a win win if you don't eat there. No, actually it's a win win win.(Health) ----------Finished, rant time---------- Think about it, honestly now. This has turned into a restaurant where the majority of customers don't like the majority of employees and the majority of employees don't like the majority of customers. What the hell? Who in their right mind would bother going there just to get angry? Really now? The employees are able to pay for their groceries by going there; you're just spending the money you will be needing for the triple bypass. If you don't like the customer service and you don't like the food but you still find yourself going there, congratulations, you're a tool. "They" have a psychological edge over you now. I must say, bravo... --- There's a hole in the world like a great, black pit where the clients are the very worst part of it and their manners aren't worth but what a pig could spit and it goes by the name of McDonald's... At the top of the hole sit a priveledged few making mockery of the vermin in the lower zoo, turning beauty into filth and greed... I, too, have seen the world of Fast Food's wonders, for the clients who come in are as wondrous as my shoe, but there's no place like McDonald's... |

when u use a 10 and they punch it is as a 20 as long as they take 10 dollars off the amount of change they owe u it donest make a differnce cuz all the money is all there. now if they give u a 10 and u get chnage back as if you paied with a 20 thats when ur till will be out which would be the persons fault. thats not cool that they made all of them pay it back its only one guys fault |
