I think what the boys did was hilarious and should not have been taken this far. Whatever I guess that is what happens when the police have nothing else to do but eat donuts and when this opportunity came up they turned on their lights and sirens. Give me a break and grow up AF Police what you are doing is rediculous!!!

Come on!!! If the corporate headquarters of McDonalds is using it as an ad campaign, what do you expect? American Fork police need to be a little more realistic and the manager at McDonalds needs to get a sense of humor. And as far as being disorderly?? GIVE ME A BREAK!!! And a Class C misdemeanor? WHY?!?!?! I think that just talking to the kids that maybe it wasn't such a good idea to do it the second time would have been enough in this particular case. Now if the kids had gotten really nasty towards the manager and the employee, then it would be a whole different story, but they didn't. They left when they were asked to.

The only things they should be cited for are ripping off that youtube video and for being unfunny. And the news didn't even play the original clip in their story, they played a clip of another unfunny ripoff. Original drive-thru rap guy is not getting his props at all. I don't think taco bell gave him any credit when they ripped off the idea for their commercial either. Shame on you, America!

What a joke... Small town cops with nothing better to do. But, the manager of the mc d's said they cooperated with the investigation that led to the charges? in speaking with the parent of the eldest boy, he says the boys were cited within 10-15 mins after the incident, by a cop who was from american fork, but happened to be in the neighbouring town where the boys attended the volleyball game. Did he even have jurisdiction? And what kind of investigation can a person do in a few minutes? lets not forget he had to drive to find the boys. These teens could have been doing alot worse, drugs, stealing, etc.. but they were not, they were trying to have some fun making an order at a drive through. Of course they are not going to buy anything when the manager tells them to leave. Is it a crime to change your mind after you have pulled into the drive through? Was there a sign warning the boys they would be charged if they held up the line? I am told it was a snowy night, "almost blizzard like" was the parent comment. I am wondering if there is any security camera footage, or if the register receipts can confirm multipul orders after the boys left. Not that it makes any difference whatsoever. But my suggestion to the eldest boys father was to seek damages from both the american fork police and the mc donalds store for slander and defamation. I sure hope they do!! Is this how mc donalds treats customers? After all these years of driving their own songs and jingles into our heads, trying to make us buy their products. big mac, btl, quarter pounder with cheese, filet of fish, hamburger, regular and larger sizes, and for breakfast..... etc... etc.. I do not remember it all but i am sure many will. ba da da dat da....I'm loving it. I know everyone remembers that one cause they are still using it! At least they are in Canada. And for the police, is this really how you want to be portrayed to our youth. Most youth already dont like the police because they hear about them beating on people and lying about everything, this type of behavior just reinforces all of it! CATCH SOME REAL CRIMINALS, GET THESE CHILD ABUSERS OFF THE STREETS, QUIT WASTING TAX PAYER MONEY!!!!

McDonald's needs to teach their employees how to relax and enjoy some spice of life. There's no harm in this. Maybe obnoxiousness, but not necessary to call the police. Shame on you! And Double Shame on you to American Fork police!! Really? There are so many terrible things these boys could be out doing and they rapped an order at a drive thru. BIG FAT DEAL!! They were having fun! Good, clean, fun that so many of our teens lack now days. If you had to respond to the call, great. Tell them to please not do it again. They were already off the premesis so that shows they had no ill intent. But charges? C'MON! I hope these boys never lose their wit and charm and never quit trying to make people smile!:) I enjoyed the clip!:)

hey i thinks mcdonald have some employees who need to get over them self.i work at mcdonalds and we had some one who came thru the drive thru and did worse than a harmless rap. when you mcdonalds do a commerical for your company you should put a little disclaimer and say please dont try this. and the lady who ran the drive thru you need to go through some paironia class because you are defintley parniod and should be work at a fast food restaurant

It's things like this that make it embarrassing to admit I live in "Happy Valley". Gaining experience from out of state has helped me cope with the "Utah Co. Syndrome". Let those with insight agree in silence.
