UDP connection using Simulink on Linux

Hi everybody, I am trying to connect to computers using Linux environment through UDP communication channel. I used the UDP send and receive blocks of Simulink, I set the IP adresses of sender and receiver as well as the two ports where to communicate. The Simulink compiler does not give any errors but the receiver does not get at all the sent data!
I cannot understand where the problem is..it all seems pretty easy to make but at the end it does not work.
Does anyone have some experience on this subject to understand why?
