I'd love to see a union form and clean up all the bulls--t Lowe's has given to its employees. A union would decimate Lowe's and then maybe they'd realize that they should have cared about us just a little more.

Yes, decimate was an overstatement. It would make them dish out a crap load of money for higher wages and perks though. Its definitely something they don't want. They'd have to stop wasting g money on sh-t they don't need, like robot auto-loaders in P&A and induction and perm racks that are put up and then torn down in a year. Btw, I'm in an RDC, not a store, but morale sucks just as much.

They can't terminate anyone for talking about a union. It is a violation of federal law. This is why the anti-union is incorporated into the training. The lower the moral the easier it is to have a union start up. If you want your rights protected that is the way to go...

If you are really unhappy with your job and you think a union will fix it then i suggest you just quit and let someone do your job. If all you do is sit around and complain then you probably arent that productive

That's not exactly true. They can fire anyone talking about it, but they can't fire you if you declare the desire for Union representation AND organization begins with the Union you wish to join starts the process. Firing you at that point is violation of Federal law.

However, my feeling is that one couldn't even organize a poker party with our co-workers let alone start a Union movement.

We work with spineless scared company kiss azzes... good luck to anyone wishing to organize plans for a Union.

Here is what would happen... if by chance a first vote made it through, Lowes would immediately remove all current salaried management and replace. Multiple town halls until the final vote. If a union did pass the store would then close down. It will open under a new store number down the street if it’s a good store. If if a good employee voted no they would not be eligible for rehire.

Honestly everything would be worth it just to slightly inconvenience the pos company. It's not even about getting treated better to many anymore (we've given up on that) it's to do any little thing we can to be an irritant to Lowe's.

Sucks is an understatement.....I have worked at HD and now at a Lowe’s RDC.... The HD GM would walk the dock everyday... It gave the workers a sense of pride that management would see their work.... At Lowe’s you might not see a manager on the dock ALL weekend...
At HD if you worked you got promoted...Lowe’s RDC whoever can help a manager do less work gets promoted....
