Look for an announcement Monday. Several stores have "meetings" Sunday night 8pm. Heard of stores in Michigan and Illinois.

what makes you think that becuase a store has a meeting that it means they will close?

This very well could simply be a meeting to discuss how the stores will change for the future, or a new staffing model, could be anything

do you have more info?

Two days notice for a meeting like that? Only certain stores having them. Plus the SM at one store saying he does not know why they are having the meeting? Also one of the stores was told they were not getting any signage to support the new MyLowes campaign. They are in a "test"to group of stores no getting signage.

True. We were brought in the training room today in small groups and were told that there is an emergency meeting at the close of business on Sunday night. I noticed today that some of the items that are automatically ordered from the DC when stock gets low show no new orders coming. Hard to explain but there was a "weird" feeling this afternoon at work. I won't say what store, but a smaller market in the midwest. I guess we'll find out Sunday.

Im in one of those 19 test stores. Not all of the stores are under 20m

We have no 'real' info, just blank looks and 'lets stay positive' motivation.

How did the closings work last time? Severences? What happened, I can't believe im saying ths, but what's the lowdown?

60 days pay and benefits for employees. Im not sure if its different for the ASM's and SM's. I believe some employees stay on for a few weeks to ship out product and dismantle the stores. Able to apply for jobs at other locations.

You can blame this on Obama and the Democrat Party, who hate big business and want nothing other than ruin for this country.
