I've been trying to get on to do benefits and see my paycheck for quite a while and the site is down, yet again! How hard is it for this company to keep their site working?

The "view my payslip" feature is down, as it often is on Wednesdays. I think that may be what Superfun is talking about. It is frustrating.
I am another person who does not understand how such a big company can have such a slow and poorly-functioning employee website, and also expect employees to do much of what the company requires from them on this site. Come on, Lowe's, update this freaking site!

This is exactly what I am talking about. I also have a hell of a time getting the goddamn i-phones to work (Going to the main terminals and using Genesis is much faster) or order products without waiting five minutes for each new page to load in isst.

I think the website is down 70% of the time, from home anyway. The iPhone, on the other hand, is a complete joke!!

i think the iPhone's are a good feature when they are working, the employee website has nothing to do with viewing you payslip this is oracle via kronos. on wednesdays and sometimes Tuesdays its always gonna be that way. oracle dose this so it wont slow their system down. oracle starts the pay process at
5:30 am eastern time and it usually dosent end until 6:30 pm eastern time. they have to update the system on wed. because of the direct deposit employees.

"We accelerated our investments in technology and store infrastructure and increased our efforts to improve the customer experience. We also refined our pricing and merchandising strategies and processes. With these enhancements in place, we believe our leadership team will be well positioned to drive stronger comparable store sales growth and expand operating margins."

"Further, our strong financial position and cash flow afford us not only the opportunity to make investments that are part of a disciplined capital allocation strategy, but also fulfill our commitment to return excess cash to shareholders through dividends and our share repurchase program."

Tell ya what else is a joke. Scan an appliance with the I-phone during a sale period. There is a price discrepancy window that repeatedly pops up 4,5,6 times in a row that you have to repeatedly hit cancel to get to go away. It asks you if you want to print new labels. This is even before the product page loads. Once it loads, it pops up another 4, 5, 6 times, again you have to hit cancel each time, and then, if you are lucky, you can see how many of what you scanned that you actually have. Huge pain in the butt.

The pricing for the labor day tab was horrendous. None of the was/now have expiration dates on them. Some skus went back up yesterday (some did not). I ran through as much of the department as I could punching item numbers in the iphone to see if the prices had changed. Anyone else running into this? Whoever designed this new pricing scheme should be drug out back and shot.

"Coming through the Great Recession, the whole industry probably got too promotional,"

Mr. Niblock, Sir, now that I have an audience with you I would like to ask if it is true, as one Lowes IT professional posted today on Connections, that Genesis will be with us for another 3 to 5 years?

And that funding to even provide bandwidth to support Genesis, so store computers don't lock-up in the middle of customer transactions is being denied.

And is it true, as this IT professional fears, that his posting of this information will result in his being "talked to"?

I'll close, sir, by stating that it is an honor hearing from you. I am a bit star struck, of course. I'm ALL IN, and you can count on us in store 666 in Dante, Texas, near the Inferno exit.

Again, Mr. Niblock, Sir, this is Radar just saying "hey" from Store 666 in Dante, Texas. As always, it is an honor to able to speak to someone as important as you. With Connections down most of the time, I was told by my SM I could share my concerns here.

Now, I'm not entirely certain that our Store 666 hasn't just been forgotten, like that store in Florida. We ran out of toilet paper two weeks ago, and the only shelves with anything left on them are those Northlake ones. Customers never buy anything there, so they do help our store look like it is still in business. Customers are wondering.

I feel almost like a pen pal, if I could be so forward, Mr. Niblock. Because of my loyalty, I did want to give Mooresville a "heads up" about some activists, or rabble rousers as we say in Texas. These aren't union folks, they're animal activists, for crissakes!

Even if Lowes isn't a union shop, they say that even as human beings (we're animals they say - my pastor disagrees!) we deserve the right to go to the bathroom sometime in an 8 hour day and have a bit of time to eat without being called back to the floor.

I know I can trust you to send someone to visit us at Store 666 and JUST NIP THAT IN THE BUD! As always, you friend and fan, Radar.

Some stores are handing out the discontinued 220 grit sand paper to customers while they wait for their supply order.

Just store use it.
