get this!!! store managers hiding in the lp office watching associates on camera..waiting for one little slipup..then..BAM!!!now, are they being told to do this by DM'S or are they just that sneaky and cowardly?this really creeps me out. feels like stalker behavior to me...yuck.just another form of subtle harrassment. oh, and dont EVER let your store manager know if you shop another lowes store..he will use that against you also..most call it micromanaging..better termed s*** list.where do they get these young inexperienced,immature idiots anyway??? lowes let the older seasoned vet managers go to replace them with this??ALLRIGHTY THEN!!!!

Lol.....the Store Manager that I worked for did this with his DM on our DM visits. They woulds spend an hour or so a watch everyone on camera for engagement. They would then call in all of the individuals "viewed" as non-performers one by one and issue documentation. There was no room for discussion, it was based on what the camera "saw" and that was it. Pretty shady if you ask me, the Store Manager should be out the engaging and inspiring.......not playing big brother.

Unionizing would be easy in those stores now, morale is at an extreme low. Unions prey on that type of environment.......

Are you talking about the severance policy? If so, you are mistaken. The severance policy speaks in terms of weeks severance based on years service. And there are different thresholds based on position in store. You can locate the severance policy on myloweslife, benefits handbook.

There is precedent here for a class action lawsuit. My lawyer cannot solicit actively but I can make the information available. Private message me, I will give you the phone number. Take some power back by doing something proactive. It costs you nothing. We were treated unfairly, discriminated against and there is plenty of proof.

I would love to go after Lowe's for what they did to us on 1/25/2011. Unfortunately many of us are in fear of the severance agreement we signed. Unemployment is bad enough but to add the possibility of Lowe's going after us for breach of contract.....

I agree 100% Lowes was once upon a time a great company but as of 2yrs ago has went down in service and employee engagement. Yes I was on upper management and female employees are shown no respect and forget about complaining HR managers are store mnagager owned. Former OPS manager ... I had enough of this BS and quit.

Thats how Lowes operates and I know because I was a operations manager and worked at lowes for 13 years. They preach employee engagement but its all for show. I quit because of harassement in october of 2010 and nothing they do surprises me.

I worked for Lowes for 13 years and left in october of 2010 for harassement. This layoff does not surprise me because I seen it comming before I quit. I have never been treated this way at Lowes.. the store manager was harassing me daily and no one would help me. I went to HR and district no one would listen so I gave my 2 weeks and was asked to leave the next day. I was under doctors care and could not take the harassement anymore. This ended my 13 year career at Lowes. I was the operations manager and loved my job until I got a store manager that thought he was GOD. I think he knew this was comming and its a shame that these managers are treated in this fashion. I truly beleive it will come back on Lowes.

Actually, this sounds like something new DM would do.... don't trust him as far as I can throw him. If a SM is seen on the floor then the employees will be doing what they are suppose to be doing. Wouldn't be any need to "spy" on them. Leave the cameras to the LP, that is their job.
