How do u think the up coming employee survey gonna be ?? Good or bad....

I believe that ours will go well, it appears as though everyone has embraced the smaller work force and are embracing the changes.
And anyone from any department is willing to help one another to get priority items completed as needed, from the top down,
Opinions are voiced in a civil mannner and are taken with respect by the majority.

Well, NewBee, you are in the minority, for sure. I hae been thru several of them and one had the lowest score in the district, and what happened? The "Senior Management" tore the Department Managers a new ass, and told the associates that all the problems were of their own making, and were to blame for any and all issues.
The next year, the score was worse and still the staffing remained the same,no accountability from Senior Managers and now....after taking away the Specialists' incentives, low staffing, still no accountability, the "favorites" still doing what they feel like.
I just wonder what this score will be?

The survey is a joke.We had one of the lowest scores.Had intervention and all they did was get rid of the employees who spoke the truth about what was really going on in the store.And not the store manager and hr who were never in the store to really know what was going on .They are. still there terminating associates , and the things they have done, they should have been fired along time ago.

I predict that ours will be only slightly lower than a snake's belly. Never, in any other job that I've worked at, have I heard the amount of people saying "I'm ready to walk out [email protected] this place" as I do now. Morale is lower than it has ever been across the board. The stress and anger you see on your coworkers' faces every single day tell the story. However, I do not think the survey is fair. They lump every manager in the store into the same category. What if people are having the biggest problem with the store manager? Or, just one ASM in the store? What's the point of even having a survey if it doesn't isolate the problem and correct it?

Ours will probably be lower than last year as well. I have heard that HR is running around and "teaching" people how to take the survey. The survey is really a joke/not really funny pathetic because there is no action other than to blame the employees.

The morale at our store is just appalling. We'd have to rally to die. Our ASMs are so embarrassed by all the corporate failures they can hardly look us in the eye. No stock. No staff. Angry customers. Raised quotas. Leaders almost crying on TV (time to put on the big boy pants, Damron). Unrelenting.

Our SM has tried to "manage" the results by letting on that they really can pretty much narrow down who says what, despite the "confidentiality."

Everyone knows morale is in the crapper. Save the money and hire some loaders.

I really think they need to have corprate go on the show undercover Boss.And they could really see the truth about whats going on in the stores,and not the lies managment is telling them. Or maybe they just don't care,whats really going on it sure seems that way.

I cannot say it sucks because there are parts that are ok. My chief complaint is management-they think they know it all, treat the the employees poorly, are poorly trained themselves and think the problems in the store are the floor employees. 90% of all problems are management controllable-in other words, the fix lies with them-they control processes, computer software, budgets, staffing etc. Very little can be fixed by the hourly. We just get sick and tired of being blamed for things outside of our control, using systems that come from the 70's and being treated poorly. You want great employees-treat us like we are great instead of treating us as a piece of meat that can be easily replaced. You get what you pay for and how you treat people.

People should read the book, "Silver Boxes" by Florence Littauer.

I can not wait until all of you are gone, but I will be waiting far too long. You bitch incessantly like you have any idea how much worse it could be out there, but you don't. People get fired. That's how the world works. People that are great at what they do only get fired when their annoying level outweighs their productivity factor. That's also how the world works. It's like a survey, only the people that want to bitch feel inclined to go out of their way to post on here. The majority of people that are good employees and do their job and are happy have no reason to come to a site like this. I'm sick of your entitled bitching. The truth is no one will ever take your side so the sooner you figure that out and become a productive member of society the better. Otherwise, you will all just be poor waiting on encouragement from the internet for ever. I choose a career that's going somewhere. Good luck living on the bottom rung for ever. Attitude really does affect everything.
