Is that 18 cents per hour? Either way doesn't it just give you a nice warm feeling that they could part with 18 cents. If it is your performance raise it is a slap in the face.

Yeah, its my yearly performance review; and yes, it IS a slap in the face, sure doesnt keep up with the cost of living and gas.

The raise will NOT show up on this check. Your new rate went into effect on the. 3rd. It will be on your check the 23rd. Today was the 1st day that your new rate COULD POSSIBLY SHOW UP ON YOUR "MY WEALTH "

I knew a driver once that received a whopping 6 cent raise. I think he left after a few more weeks. Making more doing something different now. A whopping $2.40 more a week..

Me thinks if I were him I would have put the delivery truck in neutral gear and mashed the gas pedal until oil showed up underneath the truck.

<quoted text>ranger,
Thank you for your response, and if you would indulge me with answers or comments to my retorts.
1)You reference me being midscale and the other being lower scale. My question to you is why does that matter ? There are only a couple of reasons why he/she is paid less, one being that I have been a DM longer and have received more raises than they have.
Another being that I have performed in previous years at a higher rate on my PDP and thus received higher raises. Either way, why should he be artificially be given more in order to close the gap?
2)If we both score a 3.24 because in theory we did the exact same job,Why should I not get the full 4% if it does not put me over the cap? Max me out first, then tell me I'm capped.
I was not clear, my mistake. In the case of someone getting 8%, we moved up a tier on the pay structure...their are 5 of them. When we moved up, a recently promoted DM was below the entry level of a DM on the new scale. They were given 8% to get them above to the new entry level.

To your 2nd part, I agree, if you both have the same PDP score, all things being equal, you should receive the same percentage of increase. Your dollars would be more since you are at a higher rate of pay.

Oh but wait no one has discussed the displaced employees (emp's that transferred from a closed store) who took whatever positions they could find, now being told no review/raise because we took a new position. Or how about no promotion for 6 mos because we took new positions??

That's not the case here in this area. I went from a closed store to another several months ago and am getting a raise and am elegible to transfer or get promoted. That is per my Market Director
