LP brings allot of pure profit back to a store bottom line by reducing claims and reducing dollars spent on shrink. I'm sure some LPs are hit or miss as its a self motivated position, you can do as much or little as you want. But for sure they are not worthless most of the LP salery is paid for by their own ROI. We are not a grocery or walmart store and we cannot put a price on safety. I for one thik the position is undervalued by the company and the lawsuit cost them allot of good talent that in the long run will cost the company more then they lost.

Lowes is not the place to go if you have interest in LP. The way they now treat their LP team is unfair and inconsistent. They get less of every benefits the any other employee leading to the amount of openings they now have in the stores. It's become nothing more the a training center to help other programs after they get the training.

We have a Specialist in Home Decor that felt downstocking was way below her talents, and usually left her department in a terrible mess and disarray.
I overheard the SGM tell her that in THIS store everybody does what ever needs to be done. Problem solved...she now does what all the rest of us do, as well as sell like hell.
Ya can't sell it if it's not on the floor..

Claude Verville was having sexual relations with a regional manager named Tia back in late 90's. It is amazing how that guy still has a job. On top of that she was married to another regional manager with Lowes.I hope he knows more about loss prevention than he did then. I was a Sr Lp for the company and was embarrassed with my first encounter with him. The lack of knowledge he had to be the VP of loss prevention.He was a sawed off little man with the lil man syndrome.
