It seems we are barely hearing about this program anymore. Are we (hopefully) phasing this program out?

Nah, this one will be around for a long time. The focus will be back on it sooner or later.

I was hoping they would abandon it. Darnit! For every customer that likes it, seven are turned off by it.

Maybe is the person presenting to those 7 customers and not the program itself.

We have reached the point where we are asking the same people about this joke of a program so many times they are actually telling us that they didn't want one then why would they want one now. But we are getting told there are no excuses not to get at least 2 per day per associate

I'd bet the left nut that Lowe's corpies are letting the ones not pushing the card hang themselves. They told us for weeks push push push the card. Now the program is coasting and I'm sure they bugged the system somehow to see who is or is not pushing the card.

As it takes 24 hours for the purchases to update in the system, I encounter pure frustration from my customers. As a paint/home decor CSAIV, I push & push the new card. Many customers who bought paint the night before, come back the next day and want another gallon of the same. They proudly say I don't need the lid with the formula, I signed up for MYLOWESCARD. It's all on the computer. As we check, sure enough the info is not there yet. They shrug their shoulders and sheepishly say I knew I should have brought the can/lid. They go home and hopefully most do come back with their empty can. Not all associates give them the thorough information on how this card works, or if they do the customer doesn't remember. Trying to be "Seamless" with this card is very difficult.

Think this is a great idea for customers and my purchases, too. Hey and I haven't even drank any of the koolaid.

There is nothing wrong with this program, why so many ridiculous complaints.

Nothing wrong with the prram...but its odd name and the fact that by now everyone that was going to get it chances are already is. Most customers shop stores near them so this isn't really that "new" anymore.

MyLowes is not being phased out. Just saw the new commercials running this weekend and they were for MyLowes. One thing that reall stood out from the commercial was that a customer can "TRACK" their purchases. We have told from day one not to use the word "TRACK" when explaining this program because people don't like to be tracked, but there it is on national tv trumpeted loud and clear. Doesn't anyone review these commercials before they are aired? And if they do, they are truly out of touch with the American consumer.

When I buy something I get guilted into using MyLowes card by the cashier. They get points for everyone who uses the MyLowes Card.

Sometimes I don't want Lowes to know what I bought and it is not a big deal for me to have a record of it on Lowes computer.

I am not sure what Lowes gets out of people using the card that makes it become one of the metrics for the store, other than they want to justify the cost of the program.

Cashiers have to ask all these questions-do you want a MyLowes Card, do you want a Lowes credit card, do you want to donate to MDA etc. How about just-thanks for shopping and have a great day!! Hope to see you again.

In today's economy people don't need another credit card-they are a money maker for somebody but not a good idea for many customers.

That was my major complaint about the new commercials too. They only ever talk about one benefit, the paint color saving and then go on about "purchase tracking". It sounds big brother. Then they wonder why the associates don't know what else to tell customers about it. Well, that's all that's advertised.

How many people did you sign up this week? Ohhh.... that's right, none. This is an issue that you can't intelligently comment on because you don't work here. Sooner or later, nothing will be the same as when you worked here... what will you do then? Make up silly responses to people's real concerns? Oops, you already do that!

He still has morning meetings with the voices followed by the lowes cheer. Lowes really did a number on this smuck. Either that or he's building a case against lowes for making him crazy.

I don't use the mylowes card. I have no reason to. I do ask people if the are interested and that's about it. Managers harp on showing customers our mylowes pages and letting them see the benefits. I told them no I refuse. If I sign a customer up for the card I show them their home page ad how to use it but, never will I let a customer see mine. One reason is it is empty, I never use the card. The second reason is my personal information is on the home page, like my last name and part of my address. My personal information is my business and not for the customers to see. I draw the line somewhere.

I think it's a disgrace when a company has to pay a blogger to make positive posts.

I refuse to use the MyLowes card. I never have used it. I wouldn't have even signed up for it but that was mandatory. But that card after I registerd went right to the trash after I cut it up. I do not want any information of mine on the internet. Actually if you really think about it, it could possibly be illegal to FORCE employees to register their info because, what if that employee doesn't want their info on internet. I sure as hell don't.

The company can only encourage you to do this program they use the excuse of " if you don't know how to use it How can you sell it? " there is nothing in the Lowe's law book that says you must
