HR using holiday time instrad of suck time for employees

Not happening at my store but at a store in my district an HR manager is putting in holiday time instead if sick time when people call in sick. He has been doing this at least since 2009. Is this a problem anywhere else?

Nah, during bad sales weeks, ours will let us take a holiday to help get payroll down for the week, but we must be midshift, or, there must be double coverage if we are openers or closers for that day. The HR must either like or hate these people. On one hand, there wouldn't be an occurence for using holiday time, and on the other time, they wouldn't have any holidays left over to use for vacations, weekend trips etc.

Its not a problem unless you say it is. Sick time builds throughout the year and rolls over. If you ever have to go FMLA i hope you have alot of it. Also holiday does not go against the stores payroll like sicktime.
