DevilsFan is there anything I can do or say that you would agree with? If I had told the guy to f off and stop throwing people under the bus, you would have been up in arms about how I was protecting my fellow ass hole management. You should change your name to DevilsAdvocate.

"Thats why you should use an ipad to make posts on here! It connects to a wifi signal that never gives your IP address. If you have a desktop or laptop you should have it set up so it deletes browser history passwords and the likes upon turning it off but it still has an ip address!"

Huh? Ipads leave a ip address what would make you think they don't? Now if you use a static ip that's different.

Even in tracing a ip address you then go to the ISP and unless there are actual legal charges they are of no obligation to give up that information.

"Now that DMxMD has laid claim to reporting this issue at hand he could very well be let go for instigating matters on this site. Even if the posts were positive or neutral it would still be looked down upon. I hope he wasn't dumb enough to give his name when he reported it!"

Correct and this is just ONE site. How many other sites might have lowes related material. Are they going to invesigate the whole internet? How much is that going to cost and to what ends?

Duh! Sorry. I meant 3G or 4G. Yea, I know wifi leaves a signal that can track you but I meant 3G!

No no, I'm just confused as to how you connect to the internet could possibly change whether or not someone could track comments or posts. I thought anything was traceable now. I don't see the difference between connecting via Ipad, Iphone, or a laptop using the same means.

Sorry little bird...
Well, everything is traceable. It just boils down to how much time and money trackers want to spend to find you.
Fact... FBI can track you...(just saying), and they have a very robust team just for the internet (primarily for threats {any threats, foreign or domestic}).
Itís how we (U.S.) are finding terrorists abroad.

Exactly what I was thinking. Anything you put on the internet is traceable with the technology present today.

FBI can track you with a warrent. It's NSA that can REALLY track you. Eschelon is pretty big. Carnivor on the other hand is pretty old. I know people in the FBI and frankly unless there is a real violent threat they could care less. If someone steals a million dollars online that is one thing. if it is a million by robbing dozens of banks that's what they'll go after first.

We don't "find" terrorists due to the internet alone as frankly they don't always use it. Cuba broadcasts to the US pretty much non stop since the 1960's. They traced it but frankly we never went after it. They communicate to spies here just as we broadcast to ones we have there.

If you want to send a message you have to do it in code and in a manner that is not detected (i.e not a message board!) Look at the way the French resistance and IRA are organized to get a better idea.

Most of what is said here is opinion with some truth to it. Most of it is not worth spending the money to find out who is writing what. They have bigger fish to fry. But, corporate should read the comments, look for common themes and investigate the legitimacy of those comments because no one knows the job like the person doing it day after day-not even the DM who is closest to the employees.

HA! Just responding to comments that someone put on here saying that "anything" posted via I-pad, or however many G's isn't traceable. Not saying Lowe's would take the time to do it, just saying that there are means to track just about anything in one way or another.

The management cant work together enough is the largest problem. None of them want to be the bad guy plus they have the biggest mouth of north florida watching the video which is just a cash room clerk and does nothing but stir the pot. Several people have made complaints to corporate about the issues but its passed to the DM who takes the SM word that there are no issues. Will be making the complaint on ethicspoint.
Yeah, the cash room clerk shouldn't be watching the video in the LP office, she is an hourly associate and LP needs to use discretion having only management in that office.

I love how this went from stupid...to even more stupid!! Who the crap cares if they can track you. If you were scared of that you never would have posted here in the first place. I for one could care less let them find me. I will stick up for my store!
