Our store is sliding hard and fast due to a select few. The management team is fighting internally and each talk about our semi new SM behind her back, employees yelling and cussing one another on the sales floor, a millworks spec. who asks the female customers for phone numbers, a cash room clerk watching lp video on employees and then telling what she sees in the breakroom, the same employee instigating situations between associates just to see what transpires. Groups of employees trashing the fsa because he throws out 3 day old lunch, the fsa taking lunch when he wants not according to schedule, and commercial spec being targeted by the fsa and harrassed. The FSA smoking pot outside by the bull pen with the LPS. Report it all and management does nothing. The Islg dept manager getting an asm written up on bs. What can ya do? Lowe's is the most pathetic place to work!

Just start calling the alert line and or even better , visit www.ethics point.com and place your complaint anonymously . I have found it to deliver results and fast. Especially when several complaints get submitted about the same issue. Lowes has to launch an investigation and hold those accountable for breaking policy. Because if not, and someone gets term for an issue you described , and it was brought to lowes attention on prior issues, someone has a lawsuit and would win. Lowes doesn't mess around with an ethics point. Now I'm saying you should utilize this to get management in trouble,but rather as an avenue if things are truly corrupt in your store and no ones doing anything about it.

The management cant work together enough is the largest problem. None of them want to be the bad guy plus they have the biggest mouth of north florida watching the video which is just a cash room clerk and does nothing but stir the pot. Several people have made complaints to corporate about the issues but its passed to the DM who takes the SM word that there are no issues. Will be making the complaint on ethicspoint.

I have been is a store like that. It starts with the SM. Sounds like yours is just new, but the effect is the same. When there is fighting or a rift between ASMs, the trickle down effect is severe. They know they don't have each others backs and have no support. The DMs sense this immediately, and stop going to their ASMs or addressing anything performance wise because they know they won't be supported from above, and once the rest of the team catches on all hell breaks loose. I'm curious how the islg DM got an ASM written up though.

Because he was rude and unfriendly to a parttime waterer by telling her she needed to run a register. He went to his asm who threw the other asm under the bus and embellished the entire thing. Our Sm has been here 6 months but she is paranoid because the last SM was fired and no one really knows why. She is scared of being fired herself. Our stores morale is in the gutter and getting worse by the day. Dosnt help much whrn you go to an asm and hear them undermine the dm's and othe asm's along with the sm. It does boil down to management's choice to blow all the complaints off. It makes the employees just hate being there. For christ sake half the store is stoned and getting that way on the clock.

Call what you like, not the LP but the LPS ( live plant specialist) This is the same spot all the smokers go to hide and smoke. Read a little closer.

so you don't know what your talking about. Why don't you report this to the ALPM? That would be the Area Live Plant Manager at your store.

I work for 2886. I have for awhile now. i have never heard that rumor about them smoking pot in the bull pin. Yes the store might have management issues, but what store in the world dosent. The new store manager is doing a great job. If you dont like working there TOOL gUY...THEN QUIT....No one wants you to stay there with that kind of attitude. And the cash office lady is just doing her job trying to find money that is missing. Its part of doing the cash office.... at that note I LOVE MY JOB AND I LOVE STORE 2886!!!!

If there was any single part of his story that would quickly result in an investigation and someone's termination, it would be the "cash office lady" reviewing LP video. It is not expected of them nor allowed. Why would they ever be involved in a cash shortage investigation when they are a prime suspect? That part at least needs to be reported. I'm thinking of doing it myself.

The only time she is allowed in the lp office is with an asm or sm watching her. Thats it. She is not doing anything wrong. She has to ask to view the tapes. How are they prime suspects when they are counting the previous days tills?

no way no how should the cash office person ever be allowed to review video looking for cash shortages, they can look for mistakes in 3.4 and if they can't figure it out fill out the cash over/short log and turn it over to the LPM/LPS of the store or the LP mentor if it's a non LP store. ASMs and the SM shouldn't be researching this either. As far as how can the cash office person be the prime suspect how could they not be? Anyone who touches the money is a suspect and they touch it the most.

All i was trying to say was all the things tool guy was saying were not true. Everyone there doea not smoke and get high at work. And all i was saying was if they do not like working there like he says he dosen't then quit because we dont need a sorry attitude like him trying to get people fired for accusation that are not true. And maybe he can be an adult and speak to whom ever he does not like in person. Instead of trying to bash a whole store online. Very immature ...

There actually is a policy (maybe one of the former SM's can chime in here) that states if you an get three people to confirm /agree that someone is intoxicated you can have them written up.

People can debate who is lazy in the store but being intoxicated shouldn't be. It is something to take seriously and does warrant attention.

We did have it at our store...even found a bottle hidden. People refused to spot for the person. Not sure of the details but the person is no longer employed.
