Well it's one week until the new fiscal year on Feb 2nd. We will know soon what, if any changes will be made. Some of the ASSM's are probably already cleaning out their lockers? Will 2 go at every store? We soon shall know!

If something was going to happen along the lines of what we saw in 2011, it would've happened by now. Last time it happened before the end of the fiscal year, late January, with meetings happening the whole week leading up to it. There's been nothing like that so far in my market.

We had one already fired because they didnt like there manegment style, they have posted the job but at this point that dosent matter we have had empty spots for months

No one ever expects...the Spanish Inquisition...well that and lowes layoffs.

changes always seem to happen this time of year. Creation of asms, eliminating variable overtime, layoffs, store closings, firings etc.

A head cashier in my old store was just fired (8+ years at the store) for stealing a candy bar out of the vending machine. Now technically many others probably do it but the fact of the matter remains is that being kinda in management in front of someone makes it look worse..if it's a candy bar now maybe it's $5 or $10 one week,$500 the month after etc.

The Pain train is coming folks.

Stealing is stealing. That's got nothing to do with Lowe's staffing plans. I'd have fired her in a NY minute.

I doubt that anything will happen to the extent in which it had previously. We are already ramping up for spring with hiring and training so i find it difficult to believe any large scale change will come in our market area. Who knows.

If the candy machine "steals" your quarters does the vending company get fired? If she shook the machine or put her arm in it, yes fire her. If the machine "gave" her a free candy bar, then no way she should be fired.

We need more details from nedm to render a proper verdict in this case.

I'm hearing two per store (AFTER) the National Sales Meeting. And all ASMs will have to wear shorts and crocs like me!

eh. there was a time..for quite a time that the coffee machine charged 10 cents instead of a dollar for a particular flavor. The vendor didn't find out for months. Not sure if someone would call that stealing when it is a machine error.

Who really cares anymore? Lowe's uses empty threats against us and it is very hard to get fired these days. Especially since Lowes lawyers are about as useless as tits on a nun.
Who remembers the douche bag that started a thread called "bye bye specialists " yea, probably another lonely twat sitting behind a desk in Mooresville sweating a severance letter!
Nothing else is gonna happen! If so then be glad you no longer work for a company that lacks direction. Maybe you'll get a job with weekends off.

Maybe the machine took her money and the candy bar got hung up and she got caught using some unconventional means to shake it loose. There is more to this story than is being told here.

Cool...maybe not. Depends on the shorts you wear. Ii doubt anything will happen with the ASM's, maybe LP or HR however.

HR is probably overdue for a change, and I'm not saying that cause I'm one of those a$$'s who say they're useless, mines actually extremely helpful and knowledgeable. BUT, their position has remained unchanged for about 9-10 years now.

They will. Go to customer service and they will return your money. They fill out a form to give to the vending company and Lowes gets the money back.
