WBTV contacted Lowe's about Richard Johnson.
The company confirmed he is an employee, but would not comment on the case. Lowe's told us Johnson works in Loss Prevention. He's based in Mooresville, but does not deal with customers.
MOORESVILLE, N.C. A Mooresville man was among 50 people arrested during an online child exploitation sting last week.
Richard Dennis Johnson, 47, was arrested on January 8 in Oviedo, Florida after investigators said he traveled there to meet a teen.
Johnson, a Lowes employee, is accused of meeting the teen online then traveling there to meet in person and have sex. He was one of 50 people arrested in Operation Cardea by the Seminole County Sheriffs Office.
Individuals arrested ranged from age 19 to 60 and included a teacher, a tourist visiting from Turkey, school employees, college students, and a man on business from North Carolina, the FBI said in a statement.
Police say Johnson arrived around 9:15 p.m. on January 8 at a home to meet who he thought was a 15-year-old male. An ad was posted by Johnson online stating that he was looking for a buddy to play, the police report states.
Johnson is charged with using a computer to solicit a minor and traveling to meet a minor for sex.
A Lowe's spokeswoman said Johnson was in the loss prevention department at Lowe's but has since been fired.

I wonder if he was one of DMxMD's "buddies" on connections?

I'm Chris Hansen with Dateline NBC and we're doing a story on adults who try to meet kids online for sex. Now, if there's anything else you'd like to tell us, we'd be more than happy to hear it. Otherwise, you're free to walk out of that door.

Yes, I hired this man. He was a good employee. Was especially good with customers' children. He hasn't been showing up for work lately. We sure do miss him at the store.
