I think that you will find them assimilated into the floor associates.

The degree of pain is relative to the person it affects. Being displaced and having to change your working schedule can be very tough for many.
There is not many Mon.=Fri. 6-3 shifts, they'll have to go back to days and nights like the rest of us.

I read the Niblock blog on connections too. He said that " the difficult DECISIONS were behind us".That phrase worries me.

The "decisions" may be behind us; not the implementation.

Yah, the difficult ones, it's easy to eliminate the little guy.

yatzee...
There is no foundation for this information. Our district team is staying the same,(announced Friday) and there are no changes coming anytime soon for in-store PSA's. Of course, we never know what is going to happen, agreed. So...we'll see what the end of the fiscal year brings.
Until then, check your sources, some of this is just a bunch of ... well ... games and speculation.

There are three guarantees in life, death, taxes, and change.

It sounds like they are doing different things in different areas. Maybe this is similar to the Installed sales test that they are doing in different areas. They will probably try alot of things until they find something that works and saves us money.

Why would Lowe's keep these district people (some of whom have only had the job a few months) over seasoned psa's who know the job...especially the dept mgrs?

Why? Because most of the District PSA's came from the stores and are well seasoned. If they eliminate the store psa's, I'm sure they will increase the number of district staff and they will have an opportunity to shift over. I would hate to see it happen.

I agree with everything you just said. The dpsa's (or apsa's as they are known now) in my area are really not much better than a vendor service. They get the big resets done but couldn't regular psa's do the same? When they are not doing resets it is a joke...walk around pull a planogram and check it for a few minutes...really?? Also, with a spread out district like mine they get about a day's pay in just driving.
This is what the company wants????
